The MC-437 brass hook, with a flattened dome face ringed by a band-shaped edge, is pressure-fit and glued into place. It measures 3/8" in diameter and projects 15/16". The mounting dowel is 3/16" in diameter. Well I don't want to fool around with that! Can't understand why someone would ship this kind of toxic thing to anyone. I threw it away. Nuff Said. Dangerous!

I wanted to buy this because of the clean look, but when I received it I read in the accompanying papers that this is a cancer causing metal. Well I don't want to fool around with that! Can't understand why someone would ship this kind of toxic thing to anyone. I threw it away. Nuff Said.

Look Great In Wife's Dresser Cabinet

My wife's dresser has a small cabinet in it; i covered the back of the door with felt and put six of these in. They look great and they work great. I was concerned that they might fall out, but they have been there several years now. I wish they made threaded ones so i could install them in my save door.

Apparently the previous review concerning cancer should probably just stop living as Brass is everywhere and if this is a concern for you get over it. Pegs work great just insure you drill the correct size hole so to insure the interference fit on installation
