Sigma 28-70mm F2.8 DG DN for Sony E Black

Within the first few shots I fell in love with this lens. The size and weight, the image quality and the colors. Amazing. I adore this lens. If your nit-picky, you should know about this: -distortion at the min and max focal lengths -poor corner sharpness wide open at 70mm -chromatic aberration -The distortion doesn’t bother me. I shoot RAW exclusively so everything gets processed in Lightroom before it’s done. This is a checkbox and done -the poor corner sharpness at 70mm is a slight bummer, but it isn’t terrible if you’re not pixel peeping (your customers won’t be) and even so, the image quality is so stellar otherwise that this is a small price to pay. Especially for a “budget” lens like this -chromatic aberration can sometimes be a bit harder to take care of but if you’ve previously owned other sigma contemporary lenses, then you’re already used to this. After some Lightroom tweaks, you’ll produce a result that’s phenomenal and your customers won’t notice anything that’s left. All that being said, don’t take any of those negatives out of proportion. No lens is perfect, and for the price, you’re already getting a stellar product. Bottom line is that it takes gorgeous photos and it’s a nice looking lens as well (not that it matters). The size, weight, image quality and price all add iup to making this a killer lens that I look forward to enjoying for years.

Amazing lens! Do not give in to the GM hype! This is absolutely capable of 99% of what the Sony equivalent is. Save yourself the money and get one of these. Sigma has proven itself to me; their lenses are the highest quality and feel so solid. Trust me, I was hesitant going with a third party lens but this is well worth it. If I had to really nitpick, I'd say it could be just a little but lighter, but it's not really going to make your arms sore with normal use. That said, I wholeheartedly recommend this lens. I do not regret this purchase in the slightest.

i love this so much more than my previous Sony 24-70 2.8. i sold the used Sony for $1200 and got this one for $600 something. ended up having money to spare for another two primes. this lens is much smaller. huge help for long shoots and when packing for other gear. super sharp and what i love is that it’s a 67mm thread like both my sony 85 1.8 and my sigma 10-18 2.8.

I've been using this lens pretty often lately, and it is a great and versatile lens. My only complaint is that the picture don't look as sharp as my 50mm fix lens, but that is expected it guess.

I've been using this lens for over a year. Great quality locks on the subject fairly fast, very good deal and quality happy with my purchase.

Took this on a recent trip and it was perfect. Lightweight, easy to handle, quick autofocus. Miss a little on the wider side (24 mm) but those situations while on vacation were few and far in between. The images are sharp and I had no issues with lens flare.

Very nice quality and price is reasonable

Using with Sony A7III. Very fast autofocus. Better then Sony 35mm 1.8. But soaps the left edge, not critical. More natural color balance then Sony 35mm 1.8. I like it.

After spending some time looking at reviews I decided to give this lens a go to replace my Tamron 28-75 G1. Tamron is optically great, however due to its size and weight I never used it as much as I wanted to. It was also not practical to use at home environment for family day to day shots. This Sigma is a perfect lens for me to carry around and enjoy photography every day, it is now a part of wherever I go. The colors and rendering are beautiful, great sharpness, easy to carry around. A perfect full frame mid zoom for me.
