The Worlds of Jaquet Droz: Horological Art and Artistic Horology

Ornate and fascinating book, but maybe not for the serious horologist
I would like to give this a 5 out of 5 because it is a very well done book, with many interesting timepieces and their descriptions throughout. There is also a good many historical anecdotes to read for you fancy of these very unique artistic treasures. However, I must warn you, if you are a well read and learned horologist who may study the mathematics, and do repair and design, this has little to nothing to offer you on that front. Very high quality and would fit in a collection well, none the less. A good note is that it is printed in Switzerland. So you have a Swiss book to match you Swiss watches.

Beautiful and profusely illustrated
This is an impressive book, beautifully illustrated and well researched. It is of great historical interest but includes some information on current day wristwatches and developments. Hats off to Sandrine Girardier!
