A Few Complications, But A Great Product Nonetheless.
I am giving the lipstick itself 5 stars. Not this one particular. This my Mom ordered and I ordered the Port Wine. Mine was perfect in every way, but my Mom's was obviously old. After some time the seller replaced it with another color. Classic Red I believe. Which also came in perfect condition. In other words except for that one product mistake the lipstick is great! It smells wonderful, perfectly moist and stays on for quite a while. The old one smelt, well old, but it was replaced so it's fine.

It is not organic. It contents lead, a lot of lead.
Updated review:I was really dissapointed and feel betrayed after few days using Lotus lip stick. As they say that this lip stick is made by organic ingredients which means no chemiscal in there and I trusted them 100%. But, my Mom used her 14k gold ring to test for lead and I was shocked to see the result. The pink color turned to dark black when she scraped her ring onto the color (I dont know how to attach the photo I took)When I saw it, I still hoped that the test might be not accurate so I emailed Comestic4u to ask about that. However, they suprised me with a weird silent even though I emailed them twice. Their attitude was completely different from the previous times they contacted me to ask for my good review.I hoped that they would give me a clear explaination of this but they did not say a word. I feel like they are selling fake Lotus Lip stick. If they don't say Lotus Lip stick is organic then I am not that angry.I relied on USDA certification but after this, I might have to think carefully about this organization as well.If new customers want to get an organic lip stick, you should wait until the seller provide us the honest answer.

Nice lipstick, but colors a little darker and hotter pink than I anticipated
This lipstick is very nice and I am happy that it is lead free, etc. I initially purchased for my daughter so this is great to have something healthier for her when she needs for competitions. My only complaint is the colors. They are really darker and a little more hot pink than I expected especially the red and I believe the port wine. The plum berry is an ok color, but still fairly dark, especially for a young girl. I wish there was a lighter, or at least a more neutral color in this group of three, but if you are looking for a nice organic lipstick and darker colors are your thing, this would work nicely. I will hold onto for a special event, but hope that it does not spoil, like other reviews indicate have happened.

No longer USDA Certified 100% Organic. Company has changed ingredients : (
This product WAS truly THE BEST, completely fabulous and a genuine rare find (key word "WAS"); it was 100% USDA Certified Organic, and had the USDA logo on their packaging, until recently when they changed their product ingredients. It is no longer 100% Organic, but now listed as "100% Organic and Natural Ingredients" (which let's face it, "natural" does not really mean much, as there are many poisons or things that you should not ingest that are "natural"- not to mention more than a little bit misleading since placing the word Organic after 100% make one think it is just 100% Organic, which it is not). Lipsticks that are kind-of, sort-of, mostly organic are dime-a-dozen. There are tons of companies that offer the classic "organic AND Natural" mix- lots of great organic ingredients intermixed with stuff you really should not use, or definitely must avoid. They not only took out several ingredients that were certified organic and now use the non-organic version of the ingredient (ie, turmeric powder, carnuba wax) but they also added additional ingredients that were not previously used (ie. titanium dioxide, iron oxides). They could have at least used a non-GMO Vitamin E when they decided to eliminate some ingredients and add it in their place. {The photos below show the New version at the bottom of each of the photos, and the Old version is at the top of the photos- just as an example. The specific color used for the photo example is Spice, but I found this same situation with their other colors} I had previously bought dozens of this brand- and it was also bought for my tween and teen daughters. They had great colors (for adults and teens), went on great, stayed on, loads of compliments. The original was a 5 star plus product. Truly LOVED it! Sadly, I will now have to find a new company.

Love this Lotus lipstick
I bought this lipstick because of the way it was made. The color is exactly as it was shown. I would have given this a 5-star rating, but the only thing that I don't care for is the taste/smell. It has a "waxy" taste to it. But, after a few minutes, it is fine. I do like it. And would probably order another one in a different color in the near future..

Great product, and pigment
Great product, and pigment... However way to orange for my fair skin (cling peach) I actually ripped it out and blended one half with a clear Hemp Shine (colorganics) and the other half Warm Shine (colorganics) and put the two new colors in some old empty makeup paint pots. Now I have a glaze version of this color and another lovely shade that suits my fair skin. :) I'll buy more.

Spice up your life!
I have been looking everywhere for the perfect brick color lipstick that wasn't too red, too orange, or filled with crazy chemicals, and this is it! Spice is the perfect color to swap out your regular nude lipstick for, such a beautiful color that wears like MAC's Among the Fireflies lipstick. I mention that because it is difficult to find swatches of this shade so googling MAC's lipstick will help you get a better idea of the color. It does look rather sense & dark in the tube but it glides on real buttery & a few shades lighter. Overall, a beautiful versatile shade to wear year round that you definitely need in your organic/natural make up kit!
