Simple, High-Quality Tool for Early Math Learning
I bought this small abacus about a year ago, and my three homeschooled kids used it throughout the school year. I’m impressed with the quality—the wood is smooth functions nicely, colors a nice, the beads are sturdy, and the whole design feels durable and the size is perfect. I especially appreciate that it only has two rows of ten beads. This simple layout helps my younger kids stay focused, and it’s been particularly helpful for my son who has ADHD and dyslexia. It’s a great hands-on tool for any child who struggles with elementary math concepts. Overall, I think it was a great value, and I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Great Hands on Resource .
As a resource teacher I use this often. I have a few and they get used pretty much every day.

Amazing!
I actually got this for my desk at work, partly as a joke. I work as an accountant and my team always joked abt getting one of these to concern people when they walked my our desks. I ended up using it to tally how many payments I processed in different systems since I needed 5 per day with a personal goal of 10. Unplanned, but this was perfect for tallying for both systems I use (white being my required amount, red being my personal goal). I used it for a while, but found an app on my phone that tallies better. My toddler nephew enjoys playing with it and loves the feel of the red beads, so I gifted this to my sister for helping my nephews learn to count as intended. Great product! Shipped fast and didn’t require any assembly. Seems sturdy too, so no need to worry about choking hazards around little kids.

ReknRek!
Great tool for early maths. Teach kids to subitize, subtract, add, estimate, etc. if you know what you're doing. Otherwise, excellent for visual manipulative tool!

Was looking forward swimming pool lap counter, this works great.
I was looking for a way to help count laps when swimming in my inground pool. I looked at lap counters which looked like an abaccus, but the bases were narrow and looked easy to tip over when reaching out to move beads with each completed lap. . I decided to look at abaccus's for kids and found this wide based one and bought it. The wide base makes it quite stable. . Now, instead of counting and focusing on which lap I am on, I can focus on my swimming form and pace. I swim 20 laps daily for a quarter mile swim. . I am 61 and my new doctor (I call her Nurse Ratched) put me on a strict diet and exercise plan. Swimming (not lounging in the pool) and a walking treadmill are my new life!
