Lovee Patti and Her Talking Farm Pals

This toy was listed as new, but the box was badly damaged where people had attempted to push the buttons for the pals to talk. The pals have one volume--VERY LOUD....they say only one thing over and over...my granddaughter liked the doll and carried it around by the braids..I doubt it will be her favorite..the voices are too loud and a bit scary for a toddler!

Very happy with the doll and seller explain of slight damage to box, very minor and my daughter loves it.

I bought a blond version of Lovee Patti and her talking Farm Pals. I have to admit I only bought it for her hair. She has nice silky blond braids that we immediately upbraided because my 1 year old is obsessed with hair twirling and I wanted a doll that he could sleep with so he doesn't pull his (or my) hair. I didn't care about the talking animals. I only wanted a soft cloth doll with painted on eyes and lots of hair. Ok that said - the body is cloth (hands and head are vinyl), the eyes are painted on (I've seen versions with eyes that open and close, but my doll doesn't have those), and the animals DO NOT TALK like I assumed - instead you hear the doll's voice (little girl) telling puzzles about farm animals ("Who says eee-ahh" type of stuff). The speech is garbled so I can't understand much, even with fresh batteries. If you are buying the doll for the animals - don't - not worth it. If you are buying it for soft cuddly body, compact size and nice silky hair -than go for it. Why oh why couldn't them just let the cat do mew sound and dog do woof sound? Big mistake...
