Doesnt convert firewire to usb
I have an ipod classic 3rd gen that I recently uncovered from an old storage box, and I really wanted to sync it to iTunes so I could put modern music on it. Unfortunately I have a modern PC, so no firewire port. I bought this in the hope that I could use it to connect my firewire cable and ipod to my PC, but no dice. It also doesn't work to charge the ipod. I think if you want this for the same purpose I did, you will have to buy a special firewire and usb a cable.

Firewire to usb adapter not compatible for DV connection
I thought this adapter would assist me on a connection between my dv camcorder and laptop usb, but after purchasing found out this type of connection does not work.

This is a scam. I could not get it to work so I did some research and found that firewire CANNOT be converted to USB

Not sure if this is useful or not!!!
I wanted to connect a 1394 device to USB... But the protocols are different so it did not work... Same the other way around!!! It does not convert the protocol, it only changes the plug type. (what was I thinking it would do???)

Niet goed of fout
Besteld en retour gestuurd. Leek mogelijk te werken om een oudere cd brander te koppelen. Helaas was de conclusie dat de brander teveel stroom vroeg en dit niet geleid werd vanuit de laptop.

Efficace ou non
Fonctionnel mais n’a pas résolu mon problème de communication entre un vieille ordinateur et un bien récent. La preuve que ce petit accessoire fait le taff: Mon iMac a été saturé de transferts: « votre connexion USB est saturée »

Artikel ok. Leider konnte ich es für mein beschriebenes Gerät (JVC Camcorder GR-D818E) nicht nutzen, da es dennoch mit diesem Adapter nicht erkannt wird, ich also alte Aufzeichnungen leider nicht übertragen kann.
