Are the eyes sown in or glued?

Glued...but my dog got to them and the eyes stayed on.

Is this safe for a baby to play with? Does everything stay sewed or glued on?

Thank you for your inquiry. This product is designed for use by 3 and up. Aurora plush the manufacture of this Also makes the EBBA Baby line which is designed for a baby to play with. I would suggest you look for that.

Is this machine washable? Is this made of stuffing or bean bag material?

It isn't bean bag material. It is just the regular stuffing most stuffed animals have. I've not washed this particular one, but I have washed plush animals in the past. I just used the gentle cycle on the washer, and dried it long enough to fluff up the fur, and then let it air dry (preferably in the sun). However, I wouldn't do it very often.
