Nidec Servo GentleTyphoon 120mm Case Fan 2150 RPM PWM Fan D1225C12B6ZPA-64

These are everything I remember from my older, slower GTs, just a little bit louder and a lot faster. I just slipped them in as replacements to the pair of quiet (but not terribly good) fans I was running on my water cooler; at full rpm they are noticeable, but not loud; at 50% rpm they are barely perceptible (weird noise at ~40%), no louder than, and already a lot more efficient than the fans they replaced. Running a stress test, my cpu topped out at 48C and 63% rpm; the previous fans topped out at 55C and 100% rpm, but back when the ambient air temperature in my room was 6C cooler; so these are a massive upgrade.

I am an extremely biased reviewer. I was first introduced to Gentle Typhoon AP-15's many moons ago when I used to dabble in extreme overclocking and had a custom built watercooling case that was replete with Gentle Typhoons. Why? After all the research I learned that not only do they push a tremendous amount of air and have great static pressure (tremendous when used on radiators!). The part that had me sold was my rig had an excessive amount of fans and with the use of a rheobus (fan controller) I was able to manually reduce the speed on all the fans to around 50% - even with a multitude of fans it would keep a highly overclocked cpu and triple SLI gpu setup cooled - the noise was low but even what you could hear was not unpleasant to the ear! My friends and family would be amazed at knowing the computer was going full tilt and keeping cool with very low fan noise. If you see my attached pictures the black case is a recent build where I was able to re-use some of my older fans (that had been in service for going on a decade). But I didn't have enough for two builds so I purchased these and still as good as the old AP'15's. Some minor differences as in I do here an interestingly different pitch sound when just below 50% fan speed (have all fans on a fan controller although most new motherboards can control and increase and reduce the fan speeds on the 3 pin aka DC fans with ease). The 2150 RPM ar PWM fans which I made purchase of those to use on my CPU heatsink. My fiancee is floored with how silent and pleasant the wooshing sound is coming out from her PC when she is in the middle of gaming. These fans are worth the cost and in my opinion I can't stomach a PC build that doesn't include them as the centerpiece for cooling off components!

Für mich die besten Lüfter überhaupt. Habe schon mehrere davon verbaut und wurde nie enttäuscht. Diese Lüfter welche früher noch von Scythe vertrieben wurden ,überzeugen mit einer absoluten Wertigkeit und Laufruhe. Alle bisher von mir verbauten Lüfter funktionieren nach Jahren noch tadellos .Da sie für den rauen Industriebereich entwickelt wurden, sind sie äußerst langlebig. Einer der Hauptvorteile dieser Lüfter ist, das sie in jeder beliebigen Position betrieben werden können ohne dabei ihre Eigenschaften zu ändern. Leider bekommt man sie nicht im 140mm Format.

Le ventilateur reçu est noir contrairement à la photo mais pas grave, cela s'intègre mieux avec mon boitier. Posé sur un rad Scythe Mugen 5 revB, on ressent de suite la différence de poids avec le ventilateur qu'il remplace. Le souffle est très puissant et il est inaudible à 800rpm jusqu'aux alentours de 1000 (sur 2150 max). Par contre penser à bien le régler dans le BIOS car en mode PWM il ne descend pas sous les 1300 et en fonction de ce que l'on veut, cela peut être désagréable. Si on vise le 100% silence il faut le régler en mode DC. (Peut-être spécifique au modèle de ma carte mère, une Asus Strix X470-F, à confirmer...) Le CPU est même 4-5°c plus froid en burn et sachant qu'il ne tourne qu'à 800rpm, cela laisse encore pas mal de marge. Très content de cet achat en tout cas.
