St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse, 4 Fl Oz

Great product. I have fair skin and this gives me a completely natural looking tan that lasts for days. I just got back from a 4 day vacation and the application done the night before I left lasted well (I did not swim). If you have darker skin or want to look really tan this may be too light for you, I think St. Tropez has a darker version. The application is so easy; it is a tinted mousse so it is very, very light weight going one, and the tint allows you to see where you've applied so you don't miss spots. I want to say it is odorless; it may have a slight fragrance but it must be minimal, I'm sensitive. I'm not particularly careful when I apply, this doesn't seem to stick to dryer parts of skin like ankles and knees. I did try a drugstore gel product and found the color to be too golden and got blotchy in areas. St. Tropez is expensive but worth it; I always come back to it.

I like many have tried a lot of self-tanners over the years. This one has been the best so far. I decided on this size just in case it didn't work out. The larger size was almost twice the price. I tried it on my legs. I showered, exfoliated (do not skip this step) and shaved. I then put on an emollient and thick cream (I used Eucerine Advanced). As all the other reviews say, pay close attention to the dryer spots/joints; heels, ankle bones, toes, knees, elbows, etc. I let that soak in for about 30-40 minutes. I made sure it wasn't "sticky" any longer. I shook the self-tanner well and put it on in circular motions using a mitt. I did one full pump, then put it on...then repeated in the next section. You can see a difference as soon as you put it on. You have to work somewhat fast or it streaks a little. Have a damp cloth to wipe those away. Do not use in a room where a fan is running. I had my ceiling fan on at first. I realized it was starting to dry too fast as I was putting it on. It was pretty much odorless which is a huge plus. After about 4 hours, I noticed a big difference. By around 8-9 hours, I had a golden tan that didn't look fake. I took a shower before bed (I know the directions say to not do this but I live in FL and it was a very hot day. It had been about 12 hours since I had first put it on). Some did rub off on my sheets and towel but it did wash out. Some washed off in the shower but it wasn't a huge difference, at least on me. I have very fair legs so the slightest tan would be noticeable! I'm 48 and am starting to have dryer skin on my legs. Self-tanners I have recently used end up splotchy after a day or so. It has now been 24 hours plus and I am not seeing any spots/splotches. I have a few freckles on my legs and they look darker. So beware of that if you have a lot of freckles or scars. After I showered, I added a little more cream to keep my legs supple. It didn't affect the tan at all. It looks great! I recommend for sure!

Ok, I’ve never done tanning and I really wanted my legs to have some colour coming out of winter. With lots and lots of reading and reviews, I ended up purchasing this one. I followed the instructions step by step, first I exfoliated (scrubbed like a mad man, worried I’d have scales lol). Once satisfied I was smooth enough, I put my glove on and for the first time sprayed the mouse out and started rubbing on my leg. Now me looking at the colour going on my leg, I was wee bit concerned but kept going with both legs. Following the instructions to a tee, waited 8 hours before washing off. In between these hours, I started thinking I look like an Oompa Loompa. Now was getting very worried and thinking this was my colour till it wore off. On the 8th hour, I had my shower and saw the tan colour on the bottom of my shower base. When I got out and dried off, I was pleasantly surprised how naturally gorgeous my tan looked. I’m so happy that I found the perfect tanning mouse first go. If you’re trying to find a tanning mouse, this one I would highly recommend. Absolutely love the colour of my legs now.
