Are the byd care n95 masks made in china?

The masks are made in China, but they do have an active and current (just checked today 5/30/22) NIOSH N-95 certification. They meet all U.S.A. standards.

is the box containing these masks sealed?

Each mask is individually wrapped and sealed in plastic. The box has the lid sealed with a tab. It is nicely packaged but not shrink wrapped.

Is the elastic that goes around the head also laytex free? Or just the mask part?

I agree, the upper head strap is way too tight to wear comfortably. When I removed after trying on it left indentation marks in my face cheeks!

Are theseniosh certified and approved?

The package and the masks themselves say NIOSH. The NIOSH site lists the BYD N95 model DE2322 respirator as being NIOSH approved.
