Update 2+ years later: I still use my Hairmax 4+ times per week and it’s still running like a champ. I wanted to edit the review because if you’re shopping for this product, you’re probably in the same boat I am. After about 18 months of use, my hair began falling out again. I visited a trichologist and learned that without addressing DHT, treatments like the Hairmax and minoxidil will eventually stop working and the hair loss will continue. I’m now using Hairmax, Minoxidil, and oral + topical DHT blockers and seeing good results. I can’t believe the difference in my hairline today vs 4.5 months ago when I started using the Hairmax laser band. For reference, I am a 40 year old female who has struggled with thinning hair since having my children. I also have a family history of female pattern hair loss. I have been using Minoxidil since early 2020 and it definitely helps, but I wanted more options to stimulate hair regrowth. This product is so easy to use, and the combs separate the hair and ensure that the lasers can reach the scalp. This was a big selling point for me because I have thick hair everywhere except my temples. It’s a quick treatment time and super easy to use while doing something else. The 30 second vibrations are a great reminder to move the band. I don’t notice a huge difference in the mirror yet, but in my progress photos I definitely have more individual hairs on my temples than I had before. They are thin baby hairs, but I trust the process and can’t wait to see the growth in a few more months. In an effort to be transparent: I haven’t changed anything else that would affect hair growth. Shampoo and products are the same, diet is the same, Minoxidil is the same, and my youngest child is 7.5, so the hair changes aren’t due to pregnancy or postpartum hormones. I know that this product won’t work for everyone, but I can honestly say that it’s been great for me. I’m so happy with this purchase. *Edited to add 2 progress photos. The left photo was taken in July 2023, and the right photos were taken in November 2023 and January 2024. I have new growth everywhere and less shedding. My hair also feels thicker than it did before the Hairmax.

I've only had this a couple of weeks and it will take 6 weeks to grow more hair. I can't speak to its effectiveness yet. But it is SUPER EASY to use, kind of fun, and the 90 minute treatment three times per week, is over too fast. I'm enjoying this so far.

My husband and I have been using this product faithfully for a few days short of 3 months and neither of us sees any new hair growth. It's easy to use but if it doesn't work, and it's expensive, then it's worthless. ~$700 later, we're out of luck. We'll keep using it in the hopes something will happen but 3 months plus minoxidil hasn't grown anything except frustration. 😟

Bought this about a month ago to tackle the thinning crown that runs in my family. Using it three times a week is simple, and the flexible band fits perfectly without any awkward pressure. I’ve noticed a definite slowdown in hair loss and a little new growth starting in some spots already. The sessions are short, so it’s easy to keep up. I’m hopeful this is the start of turning things around, and it feels great to have a non-invasive treatment option.

Works but this alone does not cause significant hair growth and retention. I use it as part of a comprehensive hair growth program. Is it worth the price? Not sure. I haven’t used this long enough. It says 5 months and it’s only been 2 months for me.

Love it easy to use

I have only had it for few months, I wanna say it’s good but unfortunately I can’t use it consistently enough to decide as it started to have problems after only 2 months, some times refuse to work all together even when fully charged.

Was skeptical at first but decided to try hairmax laserband 82 after reading up on low-level laser therapy benefits. I have been using it for three weeks and find it pretty convenient; the band fits well, and I appreciate the soft teeth that part hair, which seems to maximize laser exposure. The 90 second sessions are quick and fit into my busy schedule. I am still waiting to see visible hair thickening, but the reduced shedding is encouraging. Will keep using as recommended
