The instructions are simple - but you do have to follow it to the letter to get it working. Great product! The only negative I found was in loading the visor clip to the unit- there’s a lock button ( a bump) in the groove which is meant to snap on to the visor clip’s indentation. However, in inserting the clip into the groove, it acts as a “block” button to the clip’s forward progress.! Took me a bit of effort to pry it with a flat edge screwdriver on to the bump. Minor issue, nevertheless an irritant which could have been avoided with better design.

Great item and cheaper than the similar 375LM universal remote. Working great with my 20+ old garage door with code switch systems. Please note that it's easy to mess up the programming of remote for the first time, if you are not sure what you are doing. Especially for my 20+ old garage opener without smart learn button, but code switch only. This universal remote has 12 code switches inside the slide cover while mine only got 9 code switches. After contacting the tech support guy with email, i figured it out and made it working, just leave the rest code switches from 10-12 alone, it does not affect the working, only 1-9 code switches matters. If your garage door is old with code switches as well, you probably need to do as below, press the program button inside the slide cover, then clicking the remote control button you wanted to work to set the correct brand/model first as per the manual, then if yours got 9 code switches while this item got 12 code switches, so just match the code switches from 1-9 to be same as yours, leave the rest 10-12 code switches alone. Then it is done.

The remote worked perfectly with a Genie Intellicode and DIP switch gate opener. I can use one remote to open two devices! The remote is fairly small and the buttons are overly sensitive. The programming was very easy... Hit the learn button on garage motor, hit learn button on remote, click the button X number of times depending on model then click learn button on remote again. There was one issue I could not resolve. If you purchase two of the same remotes, my Genie garage door would only work with one remote. I tried re-syncing the remote multiple times and both remote would initially work. Once I pressed button II on the remote and clicked button I again, one of the remotes would stop working. If I were to do this again, I would purchase the "Chamberlain Group KLIK3U-BK Clicker" which offers the same features as this remote and the clicker buttons are not so sensitive. Also the instructions are written much clearer and seems to offer better support.

I was prepared to not like this remote, as it's price point suggests cheap, chinese made junk. I was willing to give it a try, based on the positive reviews and Amazon's return policy. To say that I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. The remote was easy to set up with my Chamberlain/Liftmaster openers, and seems to have a much better range than the OEM remote. It has worked so well that I bought a second one to replace my other working (but on the way out) OEM remote to get the better range. If I had to find something to nit pick, it would be that the remote feels a bit cheap, but no more so than the OEM did. Time will tell if these will last, but for now count me as impressed!

I have two garages that I use and I needed a remote for both of them. Rather than two separate remotes I wanted one that would operate both door openers. At first I didn't think I would be able to find one that would work as the openers are not only different brands but much different ages. The newer one uses the modern roiling code system but the older one uses dip switches to set a single static code. This unit handles both wit ease. Although the instructions were apparently written by someone for whom English is a second language they were fairly easy to understand and the programing was not difficult. I now have two of them, one for myself and one for my wife.
