don't soak edamame before planting!
I planted these before rain, and then it rained and rained and rained (Gulf Coast of Mississippi here, so I'm talking 8 to 10 in of rain at least). I got nine out of 30 seeds up, and several of those didn't make it to secondary leaves. I should have looked up edamame germination, but I didn't. I ordered another packet and thought perhaps I should soak them to improve germination, because I guess I'm just dumb sometimes. I did that and the soybeans literally disintegrated. NOW I really do know that edamame can't take a whole lot of water because they'll soak it all up, swell, soften, and fall apart. These seeds came quickly and they would have grown if they'd had a better chance.

Great plant seeds.
I was unable to find Edamame seeds for my garden. I finally found them on Amazon and grew a great batch throughout the summer.

Delicious!
Absolutely the most durable plant I've seen grow in my garden. Low maintenance. Grows crazy fast. Easy to manage and every seed sprouted. Price is cheap! And the product was a great introduction to beans for my gardening journey.

Be very sensitive with these
I planted 18 of these seeds and got 2 of them to sprout. I had low expectations but hope the two will pull through. They have a long germination time so I donโt think they are for a zone 6 in the year 2023. We had a long winter

Packet contained 26 seeds, 15 spouted
58% germination. For me this item is too pricy even with 100% germination. EDIT 7/17/25: This years seeds only 7 out of 25 sprouted - 28% germination. I switching brands

Great seeds for edamame
Highly recommend. I am currently on my second order of these. I had almost 100% germination and got soo much edamame than I expected for my first try. They are delicious and was able to freeze a good amount of bags for later use. Or at least those that survived us not eating them sooner lol. They taste delicious.
