Great deal on 5-pack
Needed some crank baits to fish the surf in central California. These were great. Hook quality looks and feels suspect but I didn't experience any rusting or bent hooks during my trip. Grew up fishing passively on lakes and beaches but now love active fishing. Sometimes conditions preclude lures and the like but when the water and surf conditions are right- this is a great and economical option.

Works and works well
I was not a fan when I first received this lure. It does not look as "polished" as the more expensive competitor. But the difference is in the water. After my first outing with the Calissa and me and my friends gathered in the parking lot to compare notes, most of the guys were skunked or had 1 small fish. I had 7 landed and 2 were huge. They were using the expensive competitor version. Either I'm awesome or the lure was great. Take your choice.

Slight damage
Just received this product 5 minutes ago. Have not used the product yet, but I will be using it tomorrow when I go surf fishing. Attached are images of slight defects to the 140 nuclear pink. There are some minor paint issues that may or may not bother you but it does affect its quality compared to its competitors. Will either deduct or add a star depending on how I do tomorrow. Update: used all my jerk baits (including this one and 110 calissa) and no bites.

Lighter than luckycraft.
A copy cat for luckycraft. Looks exactly like it but they should've put a bigger metal ball for weight. Being lighter, it doesn't cast far.

More shake than roll
First trip totally skunked. The action is very noticeable on the rod. Watching it in the water it definitely has a good shaking action, but less of a roll then the luckycraft. I will probably buy another to check if it was just the one. Seems like a good product, just the fish weren’t into it today. Ended up digging up some sand crabs and nailed several perch. Maybe it was too big for the size perch in the area. I will definitely try this puppy out again and keep in my surf bag for a while.
