DON'T USE THESE STRINGS
The strings rusted really quickly and the tone they have sucks. What a waste of money. Don't buy unless u like to waste money. They are definitely not worth it. Been playing and teaching guitar for 5 years. Worst set of strings I have used.

My primary instrument is a McPherson Sable carbon fiber guitar. It came with Elixir 13-56 80/20 bronze strings. It sounded good... punchy and bright, but I was missing some warmth, especially when playing through a house system. I tried the Elixir phosphor bronze strings and though they added warmth, they brought some unwanted overtones I wasn't fond of. Then I tried these... and I'm done looking. These D'Addario XTs PB strings are noticeably better sounding, both new & broken in. Full & warm and they're holding up great. Guitar sound is a subjective thing. There are so many variables that affect tone and adding this or any other string to your guitar isn't going to transform it into a different instrument. But string quality, gauge, winding material (phosphor bronze vs 80/20 bronze vs nickel) will change the tone of your guitar. For me, these are far and away the best sounding strings on my Sable. I don't play my Martin D28 much anymore, but when the strings on it wear out, I'll throw a set on it and update the review. It's hard for me to imagine they won't be amazing though. They're really awesome.
