This little pump arrived quickly, and it was twice as good as I expected. Well constructed and has been running like a champ for over a month. It's connected to a 200 watt solar array and turns on about an hour after the winter sun hits it --these days about 9:00 a.m. It puts out lots of air, and connected to a diffuser the water really roils and clears any ice in minutes. It stays on for a few hours after the sun goes away with a pair of 12 v. lead acid batteries. The 60 w rating is accurate. I'm guessing the fish are very happy too. Great air pump. Tech note: Make sure you put a one-way valve in the line to keep water out of the line in freezing weather. I assume the pump has a valve, but I put another well under water, 6 in. from the air diffuser. No freezing problems, and pump starts in freezing cold weather.
