I dread anything to do with wi-fi because it is invariably unsatisfactory, whatever you buy or however much you pay. It was urgent that I set up wi-fi in our outbuilding. I've never known a router beam more than 10 metres in old properties so decided to hard wire, except that the use in the building is for iPads. I did the research and bought a 100 metre roll of ethernet cable (Smedz CAT6 plug and play - otherwise you pay a lot extra for a crimping tool) and tested the Wavlink booster in the same room as the BT master router at each end of the 100 metre roll. To my surprise the Wavlink showed 100% signal and the BT the normal pitiful 60%. I then set it up in the outbuilding and it is still 100% even over the distance. A router for this usage must specify 'Access Point'. I could see that this model with two ethernet ports might also be useful later for piggybacking another 100 metres and connecting directly to a 'proper' computer as well. No installation was needed. I plugged the unit in to the mains, set the sliders to Access Point and On. All lights lit up within seconds. The data from the main router is passed down the line automatically. I couldn't be happier, especially considering the price. I haven't tried any other settings but still give this a high recommendation.

I do not think it gives you anywhere near 300Mbps. Our router is up the stairs in our house and I placed this down the stairs, close to our front door as it was required for a video doorbell.The signal is always too weak even when I get full bars. Also does not perform well if you connect more than one device to it via WiFi. I would not recommend this extender.

Brilliant, not expensive, we had a blackspot in one of our rooms tv would buffer every 2 - 3 minutes which made watching it impossible. Plug in reset and push wap button on the router give it 5 mins to settle and it works like a dream.

I use this device as a repeater to provide a cable network connection for my smart TV. WPS connection to my Sky router (Sky Q hub) worked without a problem and was soooo easy.

Has helped with the wifi

This actually slows my WiFi down, connected up easy enough, worked for about half an hour then kept dropping the signal, connected back onto home WiFi and signal was slow, unplugged the booster and speed almost doubled. Waste of money

Without wavlink signal bad . Doubled it when setup easy to set as it says

I had problems with this item, the support from the supplier was first rate. Wanted to set a camera up outside the house but the wifi was not good enough. Once wavlink set up no problem.
