Butterfly Habitat with All Clear Mesh

Perfect for my daughter who has loved doing this over the years! We had 15 caterpillars in here at time and so far 5 have hatched into butterflies!

Works absolutely great! I love the size and its super easy to fold down if you need to store it. Its easy to clean and honestly you can just wipe it down. It did great at housing my little moth friends I raised and was super easy to put together, Just pops right up. Honestly super happy with the value of the item. Great buy, Would buy again but I don't need to because its still working great.

We plant dill and parsley in smallish planters and when we see eggs, put them inside the containers. We had so many caterpillars this year we had to add more parsley. Once ready, they usually make the chrysalis along the frame (see third photo), on the plant or even on the pot. We typically fold them and store for winter so detach any remaining chrysalis from the frame and set them in the planter. One made it to spring and we had a surprise swallowtail in the spring! We have had them for several seasons and they have held up great.

I purchased 2 of these thinking that I would put some of the monarch caterpillars in it and watch them grown and become beautiful butterflies. Well, it turns out that it served a much greater purposed than for me. My daughter is a teacher and earlier this month it was a week of caterpillars and butterflies for her class. I offered one of my enclosures to her with 4 small plants and one large caterpillar. The classroom watched CHOMPER grow, turn to a chrysalis, then emerge as a butterfly. They then released it as a group the next morning. I do recommend this as it is also easy to clean and store.

Good quality, good size. Not effective for keeping freshly leaving the nest jumping spiders inside of it though (which was one major reason I bought it). It’s great for fruit fly culturing though!

Such a perfect place to watch your caterpillars safely turn into butterflies. Easy access to open and for viewing. Super sturdy and easy to rinse off with the hose.
