Where are the organic buckwheat hulls grown?

That info is not on the label - you would have to ask the Zen Chi company, whose name is on the label.

When you use the placement hulls, do you add them to your old ones or throw out old ones and use new ones?

I have done both in the past. I had a pillow from Sobekowa (sp) that had flattened somewhat with age. I added new ones to it after a year or more if use. I recently ordered a new one and from the beginning it seemed too flat. So I ordered these replacement hulls to add more support. After a few months I added about another 1 1/2 cups. To really answer your question, if the hulls were really old, I’d toss them and begin w all fresh ones.

Please clarfty: How many needed to fill a regular bed pillow standard size? Someone said 5 or 6 which seems excessive.

To give you an idea of the "size," the buckwheat hulls are in a sealed plastic bag that fits snugly into a box that is 11" x 11" x 3.5." Not sure if that helps you to gauge how many you'd need, but I don't think that 5-6 is probably excessive. Sort of depends on how well-filled you want your pillow to be. If you order too many boxes, it won't go to waste because you'll eventually need to replenish your pillow with more hulls as they get more polished and packed.

Neck pain gone

I've always been a princess when it comes to pillows...never satisfied. For years I used tempurdeic pillows and they were great for a lot of years. Over time they seem to have gotten harder and I was having neck pain. I switched to goose down and at first thought they were great until I realized I was waking up multiple times at night to readjust them to my head...not good. I had purchased a small buckwheat neck pillow 25 years ago so I pulled it out....and viola! It felt so good and supported my neck all night. I made my own pillow with 4lbs of these buckwheat hulls simply by using a zippered pillowcase...then another one over that one. Have been sleeping with it for about a week now and it's perfect! it's heavy and does make crunchy sounds but the comfort way outweighs the drawbacks. Pls...I like the fact that they are natural with no chemical gases. It's only been a week so if anything changes I'll edit my post....but I think these are the answer to my neck pain.
