J B 8217 Tankweld Gas Tank Repair 1 Oz,Dark Grey, Ounce

Very disappointed with this product. The J-B Weld TankWeld putty was completely dried out and crumbled into pieces right out of the package. Totally unusable and a waste of money. Quality control needs serious improvement.

Had a hole in my Tomos A35 fuel tank. Size of the hole was around 3mm. After letting it cure for 2 hours and adding fuel to tank, it is not leaking anymore. Update after 2 months: Still holding strong with no leaks

Ein Wundermittel. Hatte ein Leck am Tankanschlußstutzen wegen Rost. Der Vorbesitzer hatte wohl schon Hand angelegt, siehe Bild. Die Stelle grob abgeschliffen, mit Bremsenreiniger gereinigt, Fertan Rostumwandler drauf. Nach 24h mit J-B Weld abgedichtet. War nun fasst dicht. Nochmal gereinigt, etwas großzügiger die Knete angebracht. Nun ist es perfekt und hat TÜV bestanden. Da das Auto 29 Jahre alt ist ist kein Ersatzteil mehr zu bekommen. Letzte Rettung ;-)
