I haven't read it fully, I had to go through certain chapters multiple times and felt 100% worthy book, especially for those who don't have someone to guide them spiritually. May our blessed lord Jesus Christ bless us all.

A good book for all those seeking a closer union with God. Although written a long time ago, the spirituality as taught by St. John of the Cross is very practical and would definitely recommend it.Although the language used can be a little difficult to understand at first but when read slowly (maybe even 2 or 3 times also) and reflectively, one would be able to reap the spiritual benefits from this book, bringing one closer to God.

The language used is difficult to decipher so does not make for an easy read. Sentences are very long and complex, as a result the essence of the matter is lost and it does not take you deep inside
