Excellent insight into the TV genius who gave us so many enduring Sci-Fi epics
This is an excellent overview of Irwin Allen's work on such classics as 'Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea', 'Land of the Giants' and 'Lost in Space'.I would have liked to have had more depth on the personalities of those involved and how the ideas for the series came to Allen's mind. But overall, I would strongly recommend this book to any fan of TV sci-fi or, indeed, anyone interested in television writing.

Good Seller, Good Product
Hello. I would highly recommend this seller to any buyer. The Irwin Allen TV Production 1964-1970 book was reasonably priced and in great condition. This book does give reviews of the four classic Irwin Allen series of the 1960's, but they are not as descriptive as in some other books about these TV series. What makes this book different from most others is the author's viewpoint and "critical history" of the shows themselves; not everybody may be in agreement, good or bad, with his statements, but it is very interesting.

Genius
I'll keep this brief....J. J. Abrams was not the original.....There was a man, well before him, back in the 60's doing it big time with classic TV and film...His name was Irwin AllenVoyage to the bottom of the seaLost in spaceTime TunnelLand of the giants...and then some blockbuster moviesThis book explains all...a great read
