I used this after both of my birth’s and it was fantastic! I honestly never used ice packs just this cream. The cooling effect was so relieving post birth and helped me heal up really fast. Also relieved any itch that comes when you start healing.

I don't usually write reviews unless I have an issue with a product but I love this stuff so much that I had to give it the glowing review it deserves. I am 9 months pregnant and starting about a month ago started having problems with hemorrhoids. I have had issues with this in the past and have always been able to successfully treat it with witch hazel or preparation H but this time those just were not cutting it. I have heard many good things about this brand and so decided to order some (After reading all the other great reviews I actually ordered more than one tub to have one at home and one in my bag to take to the hospital). My issues were gone in about a day and I now apply this after every bowel movement to keep it away until the end of my pregnancy. It gives instant cooling relief and has a pleasant herbal smell. My pain was gone literally 30 seconds after applying this to my bottom. I am looking forward to seeing how this will do on any post birth issues I may have. I highly recommend this and honestly don't think I will ever go back to Preparation H again after seeing how much better this works with herbs instead of chemicals. On a side note I actually ended up ordering 3 jars of this because the price for 3 was only a dollar or two more than the price for 2 and so I keep one in the fridge which is one of the recommendations on the packaging, I have not had to use that one yet because I have had such great success with the one I keep in the bathroom but I imagine it will be very nice post birth when I have lots of swollen bits.

I cannot say enough good things about this product! After having a natural vaginal birth with subsequent 2nd degree tear and 9 stitches, I was feeling pretty rough. I had been using all the products the hospital had given me, but was still quite sore a few days after birth. We picked this up at Whole Foods one day, and I put it on as soon as I got home. I kid you not when I say that I walked out of the bathroom and told my husband "I feel like my vagina is at the spa!" Honestly, this product aided in my recovery so much! Within a day, I was no longer using anything from the hospital and I was back to walking a mile or two with my husband and our newborn. Since purchasing this for myself, I've given it to every friend who is expecting. I consider this a must have and a product worth so much more than it costs! It is literally a new mom's best weapon!

I'm currently pregnant and thought I should try some things out before I'm in dire need, mostly because I'm randomly allergic to beauty care products (even the natural ones) and wanted to know what was safe, but I'm also experiencing some discomforts already, and I am so glad I did! It has absolutely helped with my current discomforts (3rd trimester is a whole new set of personal issues!) and I'm confident it will be great once I am in post-delivery recovery. It is cooling but not burning or stinging, not like tiger balm or icy-hot, way more subtle than that and not "hot", just cooling. It may not be strong enough cooling for some conditions, but definitely worth a try if you have any discomfort going on. Plus it smells really good so you don't get that awkward "medicine" smell.
