If you use a propane camping shower to heat water in a tub or a water can, this is mandatory, otherwise the heat exchanger will clog and ruin the heater. This is weighted too so it sinks and keeps the hose submerged. Good quality, good price, easy to clean. Keep a spare with your shower.

This filter attached directly to the end of my small aquarium siphon tubing to filter out the gunk before the water went into the bucket. It also helped to safely catch some fish fry that were accidentally sucked up. The screw-top lid makes it really easy to clean without having to pry it off the end of the tubing and will also allow you to add any soet of filter media you wish inside. Photo shows the difference between what made it through the filter and not. It is not a super fine micron to catch everything (nor was it advertised as such), but it definitely caught most of the debris. I'm hoping to figure out how to use this for a closed-loop vacuum that pulls the water thru the siphon and filter and empties it back into the tank. I will try adding some filter media to the basket to see how fine I can get it. Overall very happy with quality, effectiveness, value, and ease of use!!

I ordered these two filters--although I needed only one--to put on the intake line for a submersible pump that moves water through an outdoor birdbath. The filter fit the rubber line a little loosely, so--as anticipated--I used a hose clamp to keep it in place. The stainless steel filter will easily catch any particles likely to foul the pump motor. Good quality item likely to last a long time. Highly recommend.

I needed to Jerry rig a system to filter out particles from a chemical I was spraying. I was able to hook up a little hose to this and submerse it into the chemical as it was drawn into the pump.It worked perfect

My husband ordered this for end of the water line before our second stage filter for our spring water (in settling tank before it enters the cistern). It appears to be a good quality item.

Used these as pickup filters for my camp water supply system. I mounted it inside of a plastic bottle with the bottom cut out to keep it from sitting right on the river bed and suck up silt. It wasn’t very heavy so I had to add weight to it so it sank nicely
