Can you spray it on your feet?

Absolutely not! Chemicals can penetrate skin. Label advises you need to wash it off, if you accidentally get it on your skin.

Works well but has a scent itself that stays for months. Any way to get rid of it after it removes the foul odors?

I may not be the right person to ask, as I find the stuff so putrid that the cons outweigh the pros. Maybe try throwing some baking soda in the shoes and throwing them in the wash (if possible) and then using some purifying essential oils.

Does this sort of help prevent athletes foot?

I don't think so. But I think it is primarily a deodorizer. I wouldn't use it as a fungi preventative medication.

Will it work on fitted hats?

most definitely . i use this everyday on my hats after wearing them
