Instant Read Thermometer, Le Bleu Bean, Blue

Works perfectly and is very accurate compared with a couple other digital and mechanical thermometers I have. Only drawback is once you park the sensor and extend it, it goes into degrees C instead of F. Other than that, it is a great thermometer.

I ordered this product and didn't use it right away. When I did finally need to use it, it didn't work.

Got it online during cyber week sale. Never regrate read in a proper manner.

I recently received this product as part of a promotional offer by the manufacturer and while I am normally skeptical of new products, I am glad I agreed to accept this one. This thermometer is primarily used for cooking, although I tried it on a number of other food items and on each it appeared accurate. While it arrived too late for Thanksgiving, I was able to use this a few nights ago while I was cooking hamburgers. I prefer mine well-done and when I stuck the thermometer in one of the patties, within a few moments it gave me a readout. The readout matched what I had expected and also was within a fraction of a degree of an older thermometer I occasionally use. While the product advertises a reading being presented within four seconds, I generally found it to be more like ten seconds. The needle itself at five inches is approximately the length of my palm.While it is being billed primarily for meat products, it actually works for other perishable items as well. Once I was done with the hamburger, I cleaned it off and then took a glass of milk and dipped it in. That reading came a little quicker and sure enough was accurate with the temperature I set the refrigerator to. In regard to cleaning it, I found a clean, wet rag and a little dishwashing soap were more than sufficient to do the trick. This thermometer does not appear to be machine washable, and I have no intent to find out if it is in fact otherwise.Operating it, however, is easy. Simply press the on/off button, stick the needle into the product you wish to measure, then apply continuous pressure to the hold button, and soon a readout will appear. The readings are available in both Fahrenheit and Celsius.On the whole, I found this to be a very useful product. My only complaints are that the handle and needle can sometimes make it a little awkward to maneuver and I would worry if the plastic were exposed to flames. I admittedly do not cook very much, but it was simple for me to use, had the practical purpose of letting me know when my hamburgers are ready, and it appears that it will stand up well to wear and tear. I definitely am glad I received this product.

I recently purchased the Bleu Bean instant thermometer from Amazon. The product was delivered on time as promised and I started using it that same day. I have to say, this is a very handy tool to have while grilling or barbecuing. The thermometer’s has three buttons: one button allows you to turn it on and off, although unfolding and refolding the metal rod turns the thermometer on and off as well, a very practical and battery-saving feature to have. A second button allows you to hold a desired cooking temperature, while a third button makes it easy to switch between Centigrade and Fahrenheit. I much prefer its digital display to my old round gauge thermometer because it can read the inside temperature instantly instead of struggling to follow and read the little arm on my old thermometer. I checked the temperature accuracy against two other thermometers I own and the results were similar. In short, I am very pleased with the Bleu Bean as I have been using it every day with excellent results. Affordable too. 5 stars.

This thermometer does read fast, but its temperature default is Celsius, so that each time I turn it on, I have to switch it to Fahrenheit. There's no way to change the default. When I'm cooking chicken, or a roast, I may have to use it 5-6 times. Each time, it comes on in Celsius. This is very annoying. The battery case also falls off quite often. Not something I would purchase again.

Really like the side display and larger size. Multiple temperature options as well. Feels a bit flimsy, so hopefully it holds up. AAA battery, so no looking for watch batteries as other models have. Hopefully that means longer lasting power as well.

Does a good job. The automatic off when the probe is closed is a nice feature. It's kind of annoying that it defaults to Celsius, but the button to change it is right on the handle.
