Well written and not too deep for a military historian. Great insight to one of the most important war leaders this country has had.

A great book, which provides excellent background and historical context. It gives a superb insight into his professional and private life. Only suggestion are more pictures, in the kindle edition there are no maps or images and the language is overly floury in places. But despite this it is an excellent book.

Great understanding of those times and the Dukes background which I have not read before

This was a brilliant book - gave me more understanding of the man and his life.I've read other biographies, but this was more thorough, while also easy to read, with more insight into him. Didn't make him out to be perfect, but communicated truth.

There was never a dull moment when "Nosey" was around. A very factual and gripping biography and at only £0.99 it's a must get
