Wonderful group activity
Bought these for my grandson’s 11th birthday party and they were a hit for everyone! They come as described. My entire family loved cracking these open. The pictures I included don’t do them justice. So sparkly inside!

Great quality but a little hard to break open
When you got them broken open the insides were BEAUTIFUL! Fun to crack open. I had trouble with 9 out of 25. Couldn't get them cracked open. But the ones I did were great. I used them as a bowl filler for decor.

great for rock climbing themed goody bag
used in a goody bag for a rock climbing themed party. lots of fun smashing open. most were similar is size, some were clearly larger than the others and a few smaller ones, but most similar in size to one another.

Review for large size
I ordered a pack of the medium size geodes for my daughter’s birthday party. I buried them in the sandbox and the kids dug for hours to find them all. They were a huge hit and all hollow and beautiful. Two weeks later, I decided to order a box of the large sized geodes to include in our annual Easter egg hunt. Unfortunately, when they arrived I discovered that 13 of the 25 are completely solid and not hollow at all. I’m a total rock hound and I know geodes. It was obvious upon picking them up that they are much heavier than a hollow geode is. I decided to test them with my trusty hammer and sure enough, none of them will break even with great force. Maybe it’s just a freak thing. They are sending a replacement and I’ll update if this box is better. All in all, I’d stick to the medium size if you are choosing between the two. They really weren’t much smaller, if at all.

An absolute blast my wife loved this she loves learning about rocks and geodes and has a whole colony decent size and weight too

Whole Geodes
Used these as gifts for a class of second graders. They loved it! Had them take them home and open them with an adult. Recommend putting them in a sock and tapping them gently with a hammer. The sock was able to contain the messiness. The key is to tap them just hard enough to break them, but not to shatter the whole thing. They were beautiful and the kids and parents were very happy with them. Some stones were bigger than others. Not all the same size. They were very nice quality.
