Great tool! THE DOMINATOR!! Even over the BITS!!
The unit is a BEAST!! Comfortable, balanced and reliable. BUT!!!!!!! I've been removing 900 sq ft tile from slab floor with a scaling chisel bit. Grade 3 ceramic tile set with 3/8 polymer modified thin-set. Tonight the bit simply "broke" in half while chiseling tile in the kitchen; cruising along and then "tink!!" and its in 2 pieces. With 55 sq ft to go it was shocking to say the least. I've been working out but, WOW, what a DUD of a bit. After the bit broke, a friend tried to help me to finish by shaping the remaining chisel bit end with a grinder. That is what you see in the photo. The short end of the broken piece clearly reveals the break and is untouched. Thought I was dreaming but MURPHY attacked me with 55 sq.ft. to go. Crying me a river!!! THIS TOO SHALL PASS, said King Solomon and I.

Great Machine
This is a replacement for an old Milwaulkee spline rotary hammer. It has plenty of power, lightweight, and changing bits is very easy. I like the soft start, and the fact that you can rotate the position of the bit. The anti-vibration handle makes it comfortable to use. All controls are easy to access and the cord is a good workable length. In hammering mode the switch locks on so you don't have to hold it. I Would definetly reccomend this tool. I also purchased the spline shank to SDS adapter so I can use either type bit.Shipping time was fast.

Excellent drill, good price
This is the second Bosch Hammerdrill I've owned, awesome drill, tough as hell, easy on the hands. Yeah. I'll be back.

Made in Germany, last for a year....so disappointed!
Made in Germany, great....but less than a year problems happened. Hammer hit but not turning on hammer drill mode, have to switch it back and forth to get it engages and when I use the drill for more than 5 minutes to drill some hole onto the concrete then sound like the clutch was stripped....now only use it as the scraper or chisel. My last Bosch last for 15 years, I would expect with technology this day it must improve to this newer version but it’s not. Be careful guys. I’m a contractor and building homes for over 25 years. I have encountered with many brand name tools... Bosch tools wasn’t use to be anymore.

Great tool
Love it! Never had a hammer drill with soft start before. It makes it easy to start a bit where you want to drill. Plenty of power, great tool!

Five Stars
Great tool, good power and the slow start helps to keep the bit from jumping out of position.

Nothing like the way they used to build them.
My old Bosch 1-1/2" hammer is still going after 10 or so years and many thousands ofHoles, mostly fireplaces which require 1"x30"plus bits. I bought the new one thinking my old drill would doe on me in the middle of gas season...and changed over from spline to SDS max. I Hate it.The old splines bits allowed the hammer to slip on in any position...SDS has to be perfectly aligned which is tough in tight spots. Also the new electronic clutch is wimpy...i can hold it with one hand when it binds..which results in stuck bits. No fun when it is buried 2 feet into brick and the clutch is to weak to allow the motor to bust it free. I am going back to spline drive and only wish i could find a drill with a mechanical clutch like they used to be.

Lots of power
When it comes to drilling this drill has the power to drill through concrete filled cinder block its very durable and worth the money.
