Our 15 year old moccasmaster top eventually split for some reason. I think we used it for another 5 years, and I noticed this item available. Its a perfect replacement for the original.

You know, I have to say, of all the random plastic parts I have bought replacements for in the last forty years, this is the most stupendous specimen, exceeding my wildest expectations, and I am proud to offer my humble review. The muted beauty of brown plastic springs to life; it is bold; vivid; sexy. It verily explodes with dull brown color--in this case, illuminating the humble walls of my obscure dwelling as no plastic part has done before. That's a big deal, folks. My entire kitchen (perhaps the universe) seemed to move two inches to the left, the instant I unwrapped my carefully-wrapped coffeemaker part. The best news? It's EXACTLY the same as the last plastic lid I had, minus some hard water stains, which I summarily threw away upon the realization that this coruscating gem of plastic engineering had arrived, and nothing would ever be the same again. Where is the Eldrich factory that produces these resin gems? How do they do it? Why hasn't anyone made a movie about it? It's magic. Don't ask questions. Just be thankful you live in an epoch adorned with sleek, mesmerizing cabochons which one minute seem other-worldly, and the next minute seem like something that doesn't deserve a second glance.

I've had my Moccamaster for 10 years and dropped the lid cracking it. I got this as a replacement and works perfectly. Highly recommend.

When I first purchased the moccamaster coffee maker, it was expensive and worth the money for its high quality and longevity. I’ve had it 10 years. This part ended up split; maybe from a visitor helping to hand wash it. I looked on the manufacturer website and found this part. It was exactly the same and same price as amazon but add the manufacturer’s shipping and handling fees and it doubled what I’d pay on Amazon. No thanks. Amazon came through for original manufacturer parts at the right price.

If you want the genuine part, this is it. Our original had the plastic fins broken off underneath the lid, so we ordered this part. Perfect replacement.
