Clairol # 4/28 Natural Instincts Dark Brown # 4/28 1 Kit

I totally agree with the review (1 star review misrepresentation) I have been extremely happy for almost 10 yrs with Clairol Natural Instincts Semi-Permanent Hair Color, 4/28 Nutmeg/ Dark Brown Color in the orangish colored box. Yesterday I tried the NEW formula in the green/white box. I apply to my roots only. It did not come close to coloring my gray roots as the old formula did. Solution never turned the dark color as previous formula had. I thought maybe I got the wrong color but not according to color stated on box. I WILL NOT be using this new Clairol Semi-Permanent Hair Color product. I will give the 1 star only because my hair did feel nourished and soft after use. But the color coverage is bad . My gray roots look like dirty dishwater.

This is the only hair dye that can color grey hair and hang in there 3 - 4 weeks. The rest of the hair dyes are simple just 50 shades of red.

I was so glad to get the previous product before they put in the junk and changed the packaging. The conditioner works so much better at color enhancing than that mess they added. Hope I can get the same again next month. Thanks!

The item that was pictured was the original formulaThe item that was sent to me was the newer formula whichis horrible. The old formula was the best hair producton the market and the only one I have ever used.The newer product-was-Just very damaging--Loved the oldclairol natural instincts--hope it changes back somedaybut I will never use it again as is

not the right color for me but still a good hair coloring brand.

The product is practical. Easy to apply and no drip consistency. Covers all gray hair and gives hair a very nice natural looking color.The once a week conditioner leaves hair shiny and soft.

This hair coloring product is my absolute favorite. There is no root problem. It washes out evenly over time. I color my hair about every 5 weeks.

I tried Natural Instincts ammonia free hair color in Nutmeg Dark Brown provided to me by Bzzagent and Clairol. I liked the new packaging of their Natural Instincts brand of hair color. I also liked that it stated right on the front that it was ammonia free. I suffer from psoriasis on my scalp and some brands, which shouldn't, burn very badly when applied to my scalp. When I applied the hair color to my scalp, I had no burning. However it did start to itch a bit as it sat on my head. This is probably a personal issue as I should have slathered it all over my head, but I thought it was worth mentioning. The irritation lasted through rinsing it out and about a day later but then subsided. I liked that I didn't have to keep it on my head near as long as some hair colors. The box says it helps to blend away greys, but I can not attest to that as I currently do not have any grey hair. I liked that the hair color didn't just color my hair, but also helped to just make it look healthier and shiny. I am about 20 washes in and my hair still looks shiny and healthy, although I would say it has dulled just bit. My hair color though is still pretty intense considering. I use a Suave shampoo and conditioner that isn't meant for hair color, so this may have had some effect on the shiny part. All in all though I was really impressed with the results in reference to how much suffering I had to go through with my psoriasis. Would definitely use this product in the future as the irritation I got with this was not near as bad as some hair colors I've tried in the past. I will also note that I went darker with this hair color, not lighter.

Why can't I buy this in the UK yet? It is a really great product
