Does it clear algae etc off the water feature itself or just keep the water clean?

Fountain Clear certainly keeps fresh water clear in a water feature even in the tropics, so since using it we never have had an algae problem (which we previously always had using other products). The description says that it will clear algae so I think that if you skim the worst algae growth from the water and then use this, it should work.

Is this wildlife friendly?

I am very concerned about this product being described as wildlife friendly, although I see that a number of people don't seem to have had an issue with it. We have a three tier cascade which runs into a small reservoir, the birds used to love bathing in the cascade, but since I started using this a month ago, all the birds have disappeared from the garden!

Can you still grow Water lilies and other plants in the fountain after using the cleaner. Or will it kill them?

It is highly toxic and will almost certainly kill any plants in the fountain

Is it safe to use in a plastic reservoir?

Not quite sure what a plastic reservoir is -but it won’t rot it. The major consideration re using this excellent product is -do not use in water in which birds or other animals may want to drink or splash about in.
