Comfortable, Run Narrow, Great Support
This is my second pair of these boots and they are my favorite hiking boot. The leather and sole last a very long time, 2 years of average use including walking on pavement. Both mens and women’s run very narrow. I am a female with a wide foot, especially in the toe box area with a bunion on big toe and pinky side as well. I wear the men’s wide and they are the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever owned. Not only for the width, but for the support in the tread and footbed. I also have high arches and these are great support. When you tighten the area around the ankle they stay tight and add support and they are very warm. Some might find them a little too warm in summer.

Great boots!
I am a civil engineer and land surveyor. My last pair lasted 8 years under heavy use in the field walking through heavy briars, underbrush, and mud in Northeast Mississippi. The boot store salesman in a town near the mountains in Colorado said that they were the best and most comfortable boots for hiking. I bought them and have been wearing them ever since. Great product! Time for a new pair!

Great boots!
This is my third pair of Oboz boots. They are very comfortable and durable. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a good hiking, scrambling boot.

Hoping that I have finally found a boot to love
These are first impressions. I have taken an eight mile, a six miler and two four-mile walks since I got the boots this past weekend. I’m an old guy with problematic feet and I walk at least four miles daily, sometimes six miles, and sometimes eight miles each day. The walk is mostly flat, on the dirt and gravel remnants of an old Vermont rail road bed, with two miles of my walk on concrete and asphalt. I’ve got bunions, one worse than the other, on what were D width feet until my late forties. Also, my left foot is prone to plantar fasciitis, because of my very flat feet. Now top that off with the fact that I broke my left ankle six months ago – and one can see why my hunt for boots seems constant and can be fraught with error, especially since I buy a new pair every 4-6 months. What attracted me to these boots were people’s comments that the toe box was wide enough in the 2EE size, but the heel and ankle were narrower than one would expect from a true 2EE. Exactly what I am looking for; and I can confirm that is my experience with the fit of these Bridger boots. Depending on the manufacturer, I wear either an 11.5 2ee or a 12 2EE. Based on the reviews I read here, I got the 12 2EE. So, I am happy with the fit. I also want a boot that has a fairly firm and absorbing mid sole. I’d like to buy PU mid soles but most boots in the below $200 range have EVA mid soles which compress way too quickly for my taste. I’m a big guy and I crush the mid soles flat as a pancake. The Oboz Bridger midsole seems to be firm EVA and the description mentions a shot of PU and it also says it’s got PVU, too. I cannot really figure what goes where, but they are firm and I have not felt the rocks poking my feet like I did in my last pair of boots. The uppers are already softening up - and so far – I like the boot. Now – let’s see if I can 4-6 months out of them.

Great Boot
I've been hiking for decades, and use my hiking shoes -- strictly for hiking........ if you buy good quality gear it tends to last...... my last and recently retired pair from LL Bean -- I've worn for about a dozen years..... I did quite a bit of research .......... Iliked everything about these OBOZ BDRY.....liked the company mission from Montana.....At 69yo I was nervous about the size.....now focusing my research on this Boot...... if you're like me and have had bad experiences buying shoes ......imported from China .....one time you're 10.5 and just recently picked up a slip on size 12.0 play shoe that worked... So going with what I believe my size is I went up the 1/2 size many reviewers suggested. These Boots feel great on my feet right out of the box -- went on 2 x 1 hour hikes each.......no problem or any real break-in -- the Boots are pretty snugly, but slip right on......good lacing system.....the inner sole/arch support is excellent -- the sole support on rough ground is excellent -- it stayed rigid......while my feet felt great afterwards. They seem well made........only time will tell as they say.

APPALACHIAN TRAIL OR BUST
These shoes feel like you've worn them for years from day one. I hiked the Appalachian trail wearing the shoes for the first time. The most durable comfortable hiking boot you'll ever own. Fully waterproof, nothing to even worry about. The Best boot for the Best price.
