Hongdian 920 Fountain Pen, Rose Gold Plated Extra Fine Nib and Trim, Black Metal Barrel with Small Pen Bag

A very attractive fountain pen due to its rose gold accents.I got the black version, which is glossy black and looks great against the rose gold trim.This pen writes well (I got the fine nib) and the ink flow is consistent, which is always a plus!This is a nicely-weighted metal fountain pen, though it is a relatively slim pen, so bear this in mind.It is a pop/clip on cap and it does post well to make the length suitable for those with larger hands.Rose gold has become a popular feature on fountain pens in the last year or so, so it's good to see it incorporated on a cheaper fountain pen.Overall, very pleased with this pen - Postage was quick, too, via Amazon Prime.

Such a lovely pen, nice and light. I purchased the fine nib and it writes so smoothly on Tomoe River paper, there's no skipping or scratchy sensation, it's really quite pleasant

This pen feels better quality than I'd expected for the price and is a nice, even weight. It comes with a refillable cartridge so you can use your own ink, though the thin nib means that shimmer ink (e.g. by diamine) is a bit wasted as you can't really see the shimmer. That said, it's a nice sized nib for other inks in general. The ink flows generally quite well and reliably. Overall an attractive and reliable pen at a good price.

I own several Hongdian fountain pens and have never had a bad experience. The nibs are consistent and excellent writers

i have purchased 3 of these Hong Dian 920 fountain pens now (two white and one black), these pens are excellent value for money, elegant looking with the softs rose gold trim and lovely soft nibs. great writers. i have purchased two as gifts and one for myself. I will probably get more for gifts should special offers return.

Very nice pen and tremendous value for money.

After some time with it, I can say it writes well, and HongDiang's heavy design elements make it quite comfortable to manipulate.The Rose gold color is less pronounced with the black version if it even applies at all, yet still tastefully accentuates the ends and cap (I honestly couldn't tell, perhaps the color is perceived as muted when not on the white version).Its small size, around your standard Bic, makes it a fine choice for taking notes, which I see myself using it for.The bottom line is, though, you get a lot of pen for not a lot of money. If you're interested in starting a collection or want to try an eastern-style nib, this is a cheap and tasteful choice.Also, perhaps look into the forest series for interchangeable nibs if you're new at this.
