Love this mat and its flexibility and ability to lay flat on the tabletop. I had recently bought another mat of harder plastic at a box store, but was very disappointed that it really never laid flat and was pretty stiff plastic. It cost almost twice as much as this one, although was somewhat bigger. I actually prefer the smaller size of this one, and find this mat so much easier to work with. It's easy to clean, and you need no, or very little, flour to keep dough from sticking. It arrived within just a few days of ordering--much quicker than expected. Very, very happy with this mat.

We got the mat to use in making sweet potato tortillas (probably not the correct name, but it's what we call them). The dough can be a little wet and has to be rolled very thin. It was a little crazy-making on the counter and cutting board. This silicone mat makes the job so much easier. The mat sticks to the counter, so you can push firmly on the rolling pin without the dough rolling away. And the dough doesn't stick to the mat like it did the counter (even with lots of flour). Having the concentric circles also helps work toward uniformity of size. It cleans up easily enough. I like the storage ring that keeps the mat rolled up for more compact storage.

Love this. It's a great size, it sticks to my counter well, high quality, and is about 1000x better than rolling out my dough on parchment paper. So glad I got this! It's a little cumbersome to clean, though thankfully you can put it in the dishwasher (it just takes up the entire top of the washer, if you want it to actually get cleaned).

I have tile countertops, which I can’t wait to replace, but until then I needed somewhere to knead and turn my bread dough. This is great for that. Even when my dough was still too sticky, I was able to pull it off this mat without leaving any dough behind. The underside has good grip, as long as it and the counter are clean, and the top has very helpful measurements. Right out of the package it smelled really strong. I’ve read of other mats needing to be boiled, but this one came with no instructions. I was doing dishes anyway, so I dunked it in the hot, soapy water and let it soak for a bit. It now has virtually no smell. It’s difficult to work with within the water, but nothing sticks to it, so I’ll likely just wipe it down while it’s on the counter, rather than wrestling with it in the sink. The extras that come with it are a nice touch. The spatula is tiny, but I only had a larger one, so it worked out well, and the other thing is great for cutting my dough when I’m making multiple loaves.

I don't do many reviews, but I had to for this. It is AWESOME! My last pastry mat wouldn't lie flat and slid all over the place. This one is everything I had hoped the old one would be. It lies perfectly flat and doesn't move at all, it actually kind of "sticks" to my granite countertop, but then easily peels off when I'm done with it. Easy to wash as well, and then just roll it up and secure it with the included tie. If you are looking for an inexpensive yet highly functional pastry mat, this is it.
