so far so good!
initial impressions are promising. assembly easy with the aid of ball end allen wrenches. the included normal style allen key will take you forever and a day to tighten the bolts inconveniently located in some areas. zero issues with stability and zero concerns for me personally regarding the strength of this machines build quality. iโm 5โ10โ. 150 lbs for reference. i need a machine that would fold flat and store under a bed so thats why I chose this machine. but if it wasnโt for that I probably would have opted to spend more money on a stationary unit that has more padding. thatโs not to say the padding that this machine has is bad, but I could definitely see a larger frame person having issues with the smaller overall size and construction of this particular unit. overall, iโm happy with it and hopefully this might just be the missing key to my chronic back problems as this is one area of my back iโve never trained or focused on strengthening

Know the height/weight limit on Sunny products!
Iโve had Sunny products before (got a nice small elliptical that I used for several years). They are a great value for the price as long as you realize a VERY IMPORTANT fact: they are made for women/smaller persons and they are made for lighter persons. Thatโs why all their equipment features shots of women using them. The max poundage on most of their products is 250 lbs, though Iโd personally rate them around 215 tops. I would anecdotally put the max height for many products at 5โ10โ. These devices are light and will stay stable when used by smaller people. If youโre six feet tall, donโt buy Sunny equipment. If youโre shorter but over 200 lbs, I would look elsewhere for sturdier equipment. I am 5โ8โ and 165 lbs. This roman chair is a great size for me, feels sturdy enough when I use it and is therefore a great value for its price. But anyone taller or heavier will find this and other Sunny products too small, too flimsy or too unstable. I use this chair for back extensions and reverse hyper extensions, no problems. But just bear in mind it is NOT gym-quality equipment and will not have the stability and heavier max weight of gym equipment. It was easy enough to assemble, I mostly did it while making phone calls over the course of an hour or so.

Easy to set up, move and use.
Amazon roman chair review This about the adjustable angle Sunny health & Fitness Hyperextension Roman Chair. I specify that because there was no way to differentiate the Amazon reviews when I was doing my research and most reviews were for the basic model. Fyi, I'm 5'11" or 181cm and 168lbs or 76kg. Overall I'm very satisfied with the purchase and I'm hopeful that it will play a big role in strengthening my back and overall core. Things are like: 1.I can easily do reverse hyper-extensions. This was a big thing for me and almost no reviews mentioned this. 2. The cushions on the foam rollers, the part that helps secure your legs, are more than adequate. I expected less cushioning so it was a nice surprise. 3. The foam rollers aren't fixed. You can tighten it into one position and maybe you're supposed to do that, but I've found that leaving this loose allows the foam rollers to easily move to a "just-right" position for whatever I'm using it for. 4. I can do side obliques, reverse hyper-extensions, sit-ups, dips and push ups. If your upper body is already very strong you won't get any value doing push-ups, but if you're recovering from an injury or starting out building upper body strength this works quite nicely. 5. I can secure elastic exercise bands to the handles, and use the entire unit as a counterweight for adduction and abduction exercises. I'm sure you can find other places to secure exercise bands to do a whole range of other exercises. 6. Painting the adjustable leg red is a nice touch as you always want to be clear where this brace is positioned before you use the chair. 7. The base of the red adjustable leg extends out in opposite directions to form a large "T-base" that gives an extra sense of security that this swivel-leg doesn't slip out from under you when you're exercising. No other similar product from competitors, that I have seen, have a swivel base that extends out to form a similar "T-base". 8. It was easy to set up. In fact, the only thing you have to do is secure the foam pads (where your hips rest) to the frame. And that's it; ready to use. Each pad requires four screws that come with the unit. 9. The entire unit is heavy enough to make you feel secure but light enough to be lifted very easily. 10.The little wheels at the base allows you to wheel the unit to wherever you like. Very helpful as you don't want to lift it up all the time and many times I just want to collapse it and wheel it to a nearby wall. What I don't like: 1. The hip pads are a bit hard. Some more padding would be appreciated. 2. There is no guidance about how high to adjust the frame so as to avoid hurting your back, or discomfort for men if they set the height too low. When too low the split between the pads caused me much discomfort. The split between the two pads is marketed as a benefit to men, but I've laid face down on many a bench and my boys have never felt uncomfortable. With this split between the pads, I now have to be careful about how my boys "fit" or don't fit into the gap. The current height adjustment I use means that my boys are mostly at the bottom of the pads where the pads begin and the gap is widest. Women of course will not have any issues. My point though is that one thickly cushioned pad would have been preferable to me. 3. The knob to secure the slideable central beam doesn't give a smooth "slide and click" experience. It took some playing around with it before I found my correct height, and also felt it securely click in place. This is not a problem as I'm the only one using the chair. I don't think this will be a real issue even if you have to change the height often as I'm sure you'll get the hang of pulling the knob and sliding it to the click sound. 4. One of the supplied screws was defective and I had to go to hardware and hunt for one that would work. Would be nice if they could have checked them beforehand or just supplied a couple extra in case of this problem. 5. It is just a bit shaky but every competitor's product that is based on only one central support instead of support on each side (below each of your arms) will wobble. That's unavoidable, and the wobble only occurs when you are getting on or off the machine as most people will invariably favour one side of their body first when they mount or dismount the chair. The good news is that it doesn't seem at all unsafe. There is nothing I have done that gave me the slightest concern that it would tip over in any direction. Concerns: Over the long term, I wonder how well the frame will stand up to corrosion. If I was over 250 lbs I'm not sure the unit would feel as secure. Overall, for the price, I think this is a really good buy and I highly recommend it.

Effective Roman Chair
If everyday i do about 10 minutes of back exercises on this no-frills and perfect chair my mid and low back pain stays under control and doesn't bother me. I'm 72 and X-rays, CT scan and MRI have demonstrated a healed compression fracture (docs can't tell if it's symptomatic) and stenosis and arthritis at most lumbar and thoracic levels. Multiple epidurals and three courses of P.T. at three different facilities weren't nearly as effective as daily use of this simple tool.

Poor quality will leave you frustrated. Save your time and effort for something better.
I really, really wanted to like this Roman chair. I waited a week for delivery, slightly longer than usual, but fine, because the reviews on here were stellar. I was hopeful. The evening it arrived, I rushed to the door, eager to assemble it and finally start working on my back. I've been dealing with chronic back pain for years, and my physical therapist specifically recommended a Roman chair as part of my recovery. I thought I'd found a great deal on Amazon. I was wrong. You get what you pay for. My biggest frustration? Poorly machined screws. If you're not familiar with the term, let me explain: the threads on every single screw hole were so badly manufactured that after just one turn, the screws would no longer catch. You're left with two options, use a power drill with an attachment, or rely on the laughably flimsy wrenches included in the box. These wrenches are paper-thin, dig into your fingers, and constantly slip off the nuts. They are, in a word, useless. Fine. Assembly took longer than it should have, but I pushed through since the price was low. I finally finished putting it together, tightened everything down, and hopped on to try it out. The padding. Oh, the padding. I'm not exaggerating when I say I would have preferred broken glass. Just one set of hyperextensions left my midsection feeling like it had taken a direct hit. Brutal doesn't begin to cover it. Save yourself the trouble. Don't trust the reviews on this one.

Functional and cost effective for beginners
You get what you pay for with this bench, the endcaps for the rollers and other parts of thin plastic arrived crumbling but the functional parts were fine. As other reviewers have said, the metal stoppers holding all of your weight while using the bench are only welded on 3 sides and not fully connected at that, pretty weird thing to cheap out on. I doubt the stated 330 lbs capacity because of this but it should be fine for beginners. Personally iโll probably upgrade to something more sturdy later on.

I'm very happy with this item. Well packed, had all the parts, easy to assemble. I'm 6'2 and 225 lb and I find it very stable and easy to use. It's just what I was looking for.

Solid Roman bench
This is perfect for a home gym. It folds away behind our bedroom door and is great for lower back exercises. ...although if I wanted something to do dips on, I'd buy something a bit more sturdy and a bit taller.

Great bench for the prize. Highly recommend
You are not buying a professional technogym bench. But for the price this is a very good purchase! I am 90kg and I find it very stable and solid. It is MUCH better than the professional bench in my gym. In that one the range of motion is limited, I bought this one because I needed a proper range of motion due to problems in my back. I am 100% happy with the exercises this bench allows. The item was not difficult to assemble, all nuts and bolts were neatly organized and pieces fit well with no struggle. You find the wrenches in the package but, obviously, itโs easier if you have proper tools. I assembled alone with the tool provided. Had there been two persons and proper tools, assembly would have been a breeze. I am very happy with my purchase

Good.
This was the least expensive angled hyper-extension bench I could find around. Moreover, I wanted one that could be collapsed when not in use since I am in short of space and didn't want something that permanently fills my space. This fits the description well. I fold it and lean it against a wall when I am not using it. I paid $102 + tax. Surprisingly, I am 5'10" and I have set the seat height to its lowest level! So, I am not sure how shorter people are using this (in the reviews, I read some shorter people had no problem with it). Since I have just recently bought this, I can't speak of its durability. It does seem well sturdy for my weight (80kg). On another note, it's not too heavy hence easy to carry around. It is greatly helping me preventing back spasms during these times of covid-19 where I stay home sitting in front of my computer for long periods of time which makes me prone to back spasms. Update #1: I have had it for about 8 months now and I have been using it fairly regularly during this time and it has held up well so far. I use it to strengthen my lower back and glute muscles as well as the core muscles on the sides of my stomach. Update #2: 4 years and still as solid as day one. I have learned that I can also use it to work my mid/upper back muscles. So while positioning in the device, instead of bending my entire back, I only bend my upper back and straighten it up. This movement engages my mid/upper muscles.
