Golden Earring Still Shining Strong as they Celebrate the Big 5-0!
This is a nicely-packaged multi CD / DVD celebration of Golden Earring, the enduring Dutch rockers. They only had one UK hit of note - 'Radar Love', which still regularly gets an airing on UK radio, but there was more to them than that. Of course, their English is a hell of a lot better than my Dutch, but writing in a second language occasionally delivers some strange lyrical results (I won't risk embarrassment by quoting them), but overall, this is probably way more Earring than a casual browser will need. Some of the earlier, poppier stuff hasn't worn as well, but once they hot their mid-seventies stride, they are in good shape. Despite one of their recent albums being called 'Tits 'n' Ass', a self-respecting rock fan needs to look beyond such juvenile titles and listen to some fine music. The Golden Earring still has a bit of a shine.

Arrived in good shape sans tracking
Took a while to get here but beat the estimated delivery date, arrived in good shape. Only negative was a total lack of tracking.

a good collection
this collection features 50 singles spanning all their career from the time when they were still the Golden Earrings (in the plural) up to their last album in 2012. many of the singles were stand alone singles and not part of albums issued at the time (though they may have appeared on subsequent collections later on). These singles are spread over 4 cds. There is also a DVD featuring a concert from the 80s giving a nice historic documentation of the time and some extra videos from the same period.

Bargain introduction for those curious about Holland's greatest and longest-running rock band!This is great stuff, singles and deeper cuts and to top it all a DVD of an 80s show plus some of their hugely humorous and tongue-in-cheek promo videos.

Great value and a full quality boxed set
Brilliant discography, yet to evaluate DVD but if the quality of the DVD mirrors the CD set could not wish for a better boxed set.
