Why is it called "princess?" I don't see any female characteristics. Want to get for a boy who'd probably prefer a male cat.

All of the Fiesty Pets have cleverly silly nicknames like this. The word "princess" was simply used in the nickname as a joke. True, this toy cat doesn't have any girly or princess-like features (no bows, eyelashes, or tiara, etc), so don't worry about the nickname. It's not a princess-themed toy or a girl toy -- Fiesty Pets are suitable for both boys and girls. I'm sure a boy would be fine with this fiesty tabby cat. You could even simply rename it with a masculine name, like "Prince Pottymouth", if you wanted a male fiesty kitty. :)

No animal sounds, just the mechanical plastic sound of it working

No batteries required. All you do is squeeze the back of the head. So great.

I like these pets. They are cute and then they bare their teeth and look cross when you squeeze their heads. Lots of fun!
