Save yourself the hassle
It would be helpful to know that Dell computers have a chip in their original power cords that let the computer know it's original equipment. I bought this replacement and my Dell computer basically said, "Who are you? I don't recognize you, so I refuse to work with you." If you're trying to replace a Dell power cord, don't be surprised if you end up talking to Dell directly.
