Good quality antenna
Got this for my cb and didn't want a huge one on my truck. This one is great quality and value for the money. Works great and gets good signal. Range seems to be about half a mile to a mile

Not bad so far at all!
The reason I decided to buy this antenna, was due to there not being many out there to be honest, and this one actually had decent reviews. I had purchased and installed the Tram NMO kit with antenna (also rated around 150-800), antenna trunk mount, and BNC-NMO cable for my scanner. It worked well, and pulled signal from what seemed like at least 20 miles according to listening to audio key words, but I also mounted it on the front fender of the truck and did notice it cut out fairly often. I'm not fond of magnet mounts after I've had a few knocked off or roof mounts with holes in my roof, so hood/fender mount was good option. Now, I know people say antennas should really be above the cab...and in a way I agree, so I figured I'd try to find one slightly longer (lol). I removed the tram antenna from it's mount and tested this once it came in. For the record.....it's shorter than my Tram..... But the following result made me stick with it.....The equipment I'm using gives me signal strength for NOAA channels and uses the scanner antenna for those channels. Guess what? The Tram brought in the closest one at the current vehicle parking, and that's about it. It did bring more during driving, but bare with me on this controlled comparison.I installed the Larsen, without making no other changes with ANYTHING.Right off, I had strong signal on 2 weather channels, mid strength on two others, with a total of 4 channels of 7 coming in. Wow!Now, further testing will need to be done with all other frequencies (Fire, EMS, Police, and DOT) But so far, really, to bring in weather in itself (160mhz) much stronger than the longer Tram, I'm optimistic.

Very good quality antenna at a fair price
Signals on UHF and 700 picked up about 10db using this antenna versus the little Binfu mag mount it replaced. I'm just using it as a scanner/backup antenna so I didn't transmit through it yet.

Good reception.
After over a year of use, it works great on all frequencies designated. Specially on digital mode.
