Works fine for guys. Lasting color. Easy to use.
My wife is younger and doesn't prefer to walk around with a gray-haired husband. So, OK, I'll dye my hair. Surprise benefit: I look in the mirror and say, "Oh, yes, THERE I am!" Traditional products work fine, but over time I've gotten concerned about the chemicals. Other "natural" products don't last at all (and when they fade do things like turn your hair sort of purple), but this lasts a long time and fades gracefully. Strongly recommended.I'm a guy. A lot of this girl stuff, like dying one's hair seems complicated and is completely not of interest to me--and I'm guessing many other guys as well. The instructions for this dye are in that vein too, with commands to be savvy about, e.g. SLSes, parabens, pH values, "regrowth hair," thermal heat caps, permanents, bleaching, henna, and so on. Then you are supposed to make a one-inch color-test patch. There are warnings not to use heat if you are a man (our hair is different?). If you have "coarse hair" you are supposed to follow alternate instructions on pages 6 and 7. Then it gets worse: you are supposed to dye your hair but leave one inch un-dyed near the roots... What the F...? OK those are the instructions for the girls. Here are the instructions for guys: Mix the dye. Put it on your hair. Leave it for about 35 minutes (or read how long). Rub it in in the shower for two minutes. Shampoo. You'll be fine.It lasts quite a while on hair (6 weeks?), and when it fades it does so in a reasonable way. It does not last as long on my close-cut grunge/model look beard because the gray grows in. But the salt-and-pepper look is OK along the way.Touch-ups are easy, and so far I've been able to use the leftovers weeks later on my beard with no problems.Summary: Easy to use if you're a guy. Advertised as being without ammonia, resorcinol, parabens, silicone and nonoxynol. But it DOES contain paraphenylenediamine (PPD) according to the label. Lasts well and fades gracefully. Need repeat applications on beards.

love this color!
I've been using ONC for about a year. I researched healthier hair colors because I've been covering gray for 30+ years and my hair was fried. I have an old fashioned strainer in my old tub and I was really worried about my hair loss. I'd be standing in several inches of water each time I washed my hair because so much was falling out. Not any longer! I'm losing less than a quarter of the hair I was before and the color looks great. It's downright glossy. Strangers stopped me twice the first time I used it to say how nice my hair looked! Yes it takes about twice as long as other at home brands. Yes, you need the heat cap! Worth the investment. You also have to do a protein conditioner 1-2 times the week you color--what a difference. It doesn't have to be ONC protein, I'm using Nutress and it's great. Follow the directions on the haircolor exactly. I even called the number and had a great talk with the person in charge--he talked me through it, all the reasoning, making sure I got each step and understood why it was needed for the product to work. You will need a measuring cup that shows milliliters to mix it--hopefully it will show 25 ml--that's how much color then that much fixing agent for the roots. Then repeat for the rest of the hair when it's time to get to it. Well worth the extra time and money!

Did not make my hair healthier looking, shininer, product is difficult to apply.
I don't understand how ONC NaturalColors can claim their hair dye is organic. Look below to learn of all the chemicals it contains. In the box the following is written: "It's innovative formula contains the healthiest and effective certified organic ingredients with pure benefits. Yes, some of the ingredients contained in ONC NaturalColors are organic, nonetheless the chemicals it contains by far void the organic ingredients. This product is green wash.I used the ONC NaturalColors, it was difficult to mix the hair dye in the ridiculously small plastic cup (had no measurement numbers) included in the box. The plastic hair cap or bonnet included is so cheap it tore when I put it on my head. The plastic gloves are made of very thin cheap plastic, it also broke. Blowing your hair to heat the hair for 20 minutes is very inconvenient. After using the hair dye, shampooing, and conditioning (included in ONC NaturalColors box) my hair was very hard. When I tried to detangal my hair, it was very difficult due to the hardness of my hair. My hair is always soft when using the over the counter inexpensive hair dye (comparing to the expensive 24.99 plus tax ONC NaturalColors.I don't understand how ONC NaturalColors can claim the hair dye is organic. good color but all extras in box, ridiculously bad
the color is good, doesn't dry out hair and good selections of colors to choose from, so overall a really good product. But the gloves, haircap is so flimsy and cheap it is ridiculous. you have to get your own and it is a shame, the company is providing something so useless for an otherwise good product.

No nasty ammonia smell
I think it will work better with a heat cap otherwise it was hard to spread an even heat on your head. I just used what was provided in the pack and medium hairdryer. Some parts of my head didn't have same outcome like the other parts where I probably pointed my hairdryer more lol. I will still buy this product because I didn't end up with dry, itchy and painful scalp like when I used the supermarket chemical ones. Make sure you buy two because the bottles are small . I think it's good enough for shoulder length hair.

Mixing cups arrived broken and grays not completely covered
Bought two packs as i have long and thick hair. There's a plastic cup included with each package to mix the product in. Both cups in both boxes were cracked and i couldn't use them.I followed the instructions. Hair color was lighter than expected but it's not a big deal. However my white roots were lighter, so i didn't get the uniformed look and texture i was hoping for.
