I learned a lot
I have been a Brittany Spaniel owner for over 50 years, and we are about to get a French Brittany which if you are not aware is the original version of the Brittany Spaniel. I learned of the heritage, grooming, trials, health conditions and training tips. The Dillions did a wonderful job with writing this books especially for someone who know the breed all so well. I thought me things and reminded of things I needed a refresher course on. We plan on getting our new pup this coming July. I recommend this to anyone with the love for hunting and the Spaniel breed.

Excellent read!
Excellent information and enjoyable read, for anyone- from a first time Breton owner to the experienced hunter/bird dog aficionado.Well written with virtually everything you need to know about raising and training these dogs, along with fascinating history detailing the trail blazing journey of the authors as they became the first Americans to pave the way for involvement in European wild bird field trials. This is the only English language book of its kind, so rich in information on the Epagneul Breton, from arguably the premier authority on the breed in the United States. As a Breton owner, I searched for a good book on the breed when I first brought my dog home and found nothing worth buying. Until now. This is the ultimate book for anyone who loves the breed.

This is a wonderful book for those interested in learning more about the French Brittany breed and for those who already own a Brittany. We purchased our first French Brittany (Gracie) from this breeder in 2001. Gracie was a wonderful dog; we lived with her, loved her, hunted game birds with her, and suffered much pain when she left us after 14 years. We purchased our second Brittany from this same kennel in 2015 (Pearl) and have fell in love again. These dogs are so precious, both as house dogs and field dogs. They are very intelligent and loving. Our life would not be the same without a Brittany. Our dog is not our whole life, but our dog makes our life whole.

This books tells you everything you would want and need to know about this amazing versatile breed
Must read if you are a fan of the French Brittany. I have had the pleasure to know Bill and Kathy Dillon for more than 15 years when we picked up our first French Brittany from their kennel. We now have the second pup from the Dillons as a member of our family. This books tells you everything you would want and need to know about this amazing versatile breed. This has been a valuable resource in the field training of our current pup. Thank you Bill and Kathy for sharing your years of experience with this breed.

Well written and a must read!
This book is a well written and true description of the breed and I have to admit to having a tear in my eye when I read the Fallen Friend. Great training advice for all who hunt their dogs and it's full of lots of other information that owners will appreciate, more than 30 different chapters of info. Love the color pictures. Great job and a must read!
