It won't work for you, don't bother.
Not at all ready for production yet. Buyer beware. At first, the concept is great, but this is a case of severe over-promise and under deliver. The instructions make it look very easy. It's everything but. I have an iPhone 6S Plus with the latest software. I downloaded the App as the instructions explained. I plugged in the little hub to my network and it did what the instructions said it would do. Cool, onto step 2, sync-ing with the app and setting up the valve. It all went downhill from here. The app is a poor attempt at anything iOS. It's poorly designed and not intuitive at all. I tried to add the hub but the camera section that is suppose to be able to scan the QRC code doesn't work. After calling Waxman and getting a tech, I spent the next hour trying to set it up with him.1) It was extremely hard to read the hub (which coincidentally says "Engineering Sample" on the bottom) MAC address. Once I got that entered, you are suppose to select a location. But when you click that, it takes you to a screen with no instructions. Apparently you are suppose to put your home address in there. That would have been nice to know. I type my address in and selected it but it put in the wrong address. I had to do that same thing 6 times and it finally got my address. Gateway was finally connected. Onto step 2.2) I went to add the valve (the main part) and it was no less of a nightmare. First it didn't add so we did a hard reset. Then, we got it added and it wouldn't open or close the valve. Hard reset again. Then we got the valve added and had to turn the valve around inside the cover to see if it helped with the opening and closing. It did so we turned it back around. Seemed to work.3) Added the sensor, that was the easiest of all of the steps. I named them (again not an intuitive step) and apparently that was it... Next stop, my Wink app...I was able to add to my Wink profile fairly easily with a little effort but it was pretty seamless (which most Wink stuff is) but then it all went downhill quick. Keep in mind, you have to factory reset everything and remove the LeakSmart hub from the network first, then move on to adding to Wink. I tried to open the valve, nothing. I tried to power off and back on, still nothing. Valve cover just flashes the red or green icon but does nothing. So then I tried to open and close manually. Nada... So the next step??? Send the thing back and get the $400 bucks back that I spent. It's not worth half that much. Bummer, it was a good concept.

Wonderful Device for my Home automation system.
I bought this valve to work with my Smartthings v.2 hub. Paired easily and operates flawlessly. It is the quickest and easiest way I know to get water shutoff protection installed with a home automation controller. I did not use the leak sensor that is described to come with the valve, mainly because my unit did not include one. I have several different water leak sensors installed at the main water locations of my home (kitchen, bath, etc.), and if a leak is sensed, the Smartthings controller issues a shutoff command to the Waxman valve. Or I can manually command the valve from my Smartthings phone app, or the valve control buttons. If I could get another one of these at the same price, I would buy it to keep as a spare.

No support. Sensors 2/2 failed.
The hub seems to sync well with Wink hub for now. None of the two sensors I bought work. One just stays constant LED the other syncs but when tested with water beeps but the hub and app do not know. That's fine. Bugs. But the support is awful. Two weeks still haven't heard back from them. Presales questions answered promptly but Leaksmart is either avoiding support because they know of issues or just don't care.

Initially mis-paired, but now works right. -- Or, if at first you don't succeed, pair, pair again.
Works well. Note that the temperature sensor would not refresh itself when initially paired. Unpaired & started again pairing the sensor unit from scratch, and now it works properly. It seems that zwave needs to be carefully paired, ie: in the 'expected final operating location', for it to reliably work.

Works Great! and easy to install
This was easy to install using threaded push fittings. I used tape and pipe dope around threads and have not had any issues with leaking. The whole install took less than one hour. The valve paired easily with my smartthings hub though I have not been able to pair the leak sensor. I will update the review with more, if I get it to pair. I still give the valve 5 starts as I am not sure it is a problem with the sensor itself that it can't connect to ST.

Easy to set up and install took all of 1/2 hr. Hub did not work company sent new one to me that worked just fine. Unit well built and so far does a good job. Their is no support in Canada that I could find had spend a lot of time trying to find a way to get in contact with them but when I did they addressed my hub problem right away. Found a email address.

Returned
The product package states that it contains material that might cause cancer according to the state of California. Didn't want that in my water
