JONNY CAT Cat Litter Box Liners 5 / Box (3 Pack)

One day I'll give up single-use plastic, but today is not that day. These make litter cleanup so easy and they hold up to the cats thrashing around their litter.

Very large and sturdy

Love these liners because they are so heavy duty! Our cat loves to clog the plastic as much as digging the litter, and she has yet to be able to tear through one of these. Only liner I would buy!

Con: I have a jumbo rectangular covered litter box. These liners more than fit—there is unfortunately excess liner at either short end. I fold it under and hold it in place with the litter box cover.Pros: These are very sturdy liners. Here is my method for an odorless and clean litter box: I line the litter box with a Jonny liner. On that I place one layer of folded newspaper. Over that I place a second Jonny liner. Then I add the litter (and mix in a little baking soda). If by chance my cat tears a hold in the top liner (rare), the newspaper stops any holes occurring in the bottom liner, so the inside bottom of the box does not have contact with waste or smells. This process takes 5 minutes. I scoop daily, and add more litter as needed, but I only entirely change all the litter every 3 weeks. Pull up the drawstrings of the top Jonny liner, dispose of the old litter, and add a new top Jonny liner and fresh litter. I have found that the bottom liner hardly ever needs to be replaced.

Keeps the litter box cleaner. These are easy to use . Pull the draw string together and out to the trash. Box stays clean.

For years I’ve dreaded cleaning the litter box. It’s the worst! Then I started putting large garbage bags on the box, thinking I could just whip it off when it needed changing. Wrong. “Wrestle” is a better description. It was so unwieldy to pull the bag down inch by inch, with the litter contents only inches from my face! Yuck! I just happened upon Johnny Cat bags when looking for litter online. And now, I make sure I am stocked—they SOLVE the litter box cleaning problem. The jumbo is a perfect fit for my kitty’s box, and after scooping for a few days, all I have to do is pull the handle things and close the bag and that’s it! Box is fresh and clean. I do put the bag in a large trash bag before I throw it away. I wish I had known about these bags years ago—would have saved me a lot of trouble!

These are very large litter liners that are also very durable. I don't actually use them to line the actual litterbox, but I have a litterbox that dumps waste into a bottom drawer and I find that these are a better option than the ones the litterbox manufacturer recommends due to their thickness, drawstring, price and size. As such, I don't have to worry about claws hitting the actual liner. One drawback that I have found is that when closing the liners, the drawstrings don't pull absolutely tight to totally seal the bag (I don't like my trash can smelling, or for the poor trash men to be showered in used litter), but I get around this issue by wrapping gathering the liner at the top and tightly tying the drawstring around it. I will definitely continue to purchase this item.
