I know it's not a Trick, but....
For the price, it's actually pretty decent. It does not have the 3 levels of tension that Trick offers but the mechanics are smooth (I added a little WD40 just to smoothen it up a little). Comes with gaskets and hardware. For the price and that nice "Trick" throw off look this is it! I'll probably buy a couple more of these when they come back in stock. Nice to see a decent priced well made throw-off that isn't almost 100$. I build custom drums and my customer loved it even though it wasn't a Trick. Very happy all-in-all.

Is it a Trick?
No but really hard to tell it's not. Great throw at a super price. I've owned hundreds of snares and have been playing over 40 years so you can take my advice on this one.

Looks great, functions poorly.
Had high hopes but ultimately this did not work well. I have another snare with a real Trick throw so I know how these should function, how to adjust them, etc.The unit would barely move when I got it. I tried adjusting the Allen bolts and no go.I ultimately completely disassembled it, cleaned out the large amount of chrome plating and metal bits floating around in there and still no go.Also tried cleaning up the edges on all the grooves that the metal bushings slide in because they were very sharp and slightly protruding. Used a significant amount of lube and reassembled.Unfortunately all that effort made little difference in the function and I chose to return it.If you buy this make sure it works smoothly before installing or drilling holes. I presume there are some units that work well and made it through the machining process in good shape. Mine did not and it just isn’t worth trying to get a replacement (or several) to try and get a good one. Just buy the real thing or choose a different style all together.Good luck!

Terrible Product
Terrible Throw off. Not a universal fit at all. Will not work with many snare drums. No protective gasket. Don't waist your time or money!

Finish sucks, but it works.
Not as nice as the trick strainer, own both. But, at half the price, it’s not bad. Not extremely smooth, but it works. The finish is the greatest complaint. The plating is marked, pitted, and stained. I’d just anodize it, but getting the plating off would Probably render it unusable. Stuck with the bad finish I guess.

Great value 👍🏼
Super close to the real thing with smooth operation. Snare tension loosens a slight bit faster than the Trick Throw-Offs. Definitely worth the savings. Same hole spacing as the tricks
