Jaggy points!
The spikes go straight through a tomato in one gentle push.......but, and there's always a but, when I tried to cut the slices of tomato through the gaps in the spikes I found my knife was too big to go through. So unless you use the food gripper to simply hold the food so you can slice it, and I do think that will be just as good. I need a bit of practice with it to feel more comfortable using it.

Useful but thick onion slices
This onion slicing guide is a useful product but the thick onion slices, which are great for fried onions, are not great for slicing red onions for salads that I wanted it for. Also, the handle of the gadget feels flimsy and I think it will soon come apart in the dishwasher.
