Using evidence to back up claims is a skill students need to develop. I love that I know have a source that teaches them to prove it using textual evidence.

High interest short stories for students to sink their teeth into. Works on vocabulary within annotating with students. My students found.stories so interesting they want me to find the rest of the stories so they can find out what happened.
