Espresso experience without the fuss
We fell in love with the Nespresso coffee system featured in several of our hotel rooms while traveling in Italy and France. This machine helps bring a taste of Europe to our home every day, so easy to use and make a cappuccino or latte to start the day. If you’re an espresso perfectionist then this machine may not be for you. But if you’re like many of us who want the espresso experience including steamed milk froth without the fuss, mess and expense and big countertop footprint of a professional espresso machine, then you’ll appreciate this machine. You control the amount of steamed milk by varying the amount of milk you pour into the milk receptacle, you must refill it after each cup you make. I suggest experimenting with the type of milk you use. Nonfat, 1%, 2%, whole milk, each produces a different texture of foam and creaminess depending on your preference. We find 2% to be our favorite. We have experimented with almond milk and oat milk but nothing froths like real milk.Like most coffee and espresso machines, this one needs to be descaled periodically depending on the hardness of water that you use. It has a helpful feature to alert you when the time for descaling is approaching and when it reaches a certain point it will automatically block usage until you perform descaling.

A Must Have For Any Kitchen!!!
Review of the Nespresso Lattissima One Original Espresso Machine with Milk Frother by De'Longhi - Shadow BlackI recently had the pleasure of using the Nespresso Lattissima One Original Espresso Machine by De'Longhi in the sleek Shadow Black finish, and I must say, it has been a delightful addition to my kitchen. This machine is designed for coffee enthusiasts who appreciate the art of espresso and the luxury of perfectly frothed milk, and it certainly delivers on both fronts.Design and Build Quality: The Shadow Black color gives the machine a modern and sophisticated look, making it a stylish addition to any countertop. The compact design is a significant advantage, especially for those with limited kitchen space. The build quality feels robust, and the materials used are high-grade, ensuring durability. The intuitive layout of buttons is user-friendly, allowing even the most novice coffee maker to operate it with ease.Ease of Use: One of the standout features of the Lattissima One is its simplicity. With just a single touch, you can prepare a variety of coffee drinks, including espresso, cappuccino, and latte macchiato. The integrated milk frother is a game changer; it produces creamy, frothy milk in seconds. The machine also has a removable milk container, making it easy to store leftover milk in the refrigerator.Coffee Quality: When it comes to coffee quality, the Lattissima One does not disappoint. The espresso extracted is rich, flavorful, and aromatic, with a beautiful crema on top. The machine uses Nespresso's Original line of coffee capsules, which offers a wide range of flavors and intensities. I appreciate the consistent quality, ensuring every cup is as good as the last.Cleaning and Maintenance: Cleaning the Lattissima One is relatively straightforward. The milk frother and water tank are detachable, allowing for easy rinsing and maintenance. The automatic cleaning function for the milk frother is particularly convenient, ensuring hygiene without requiring much effort.Final Thoughts: Overall, the Nespresso Lattissima One Original Espresso Machine with Milk Frother by De'Longhi in Shadow Black is an excellent investment for anyone looking to enjoy café-quality coffee at home. Its combination of design, ease of use, and coffee quality makes it stand out in a crowded market. While the cost of Nespresso capsules can add up over time, the convenience and quality of the drinks produced make it well worth it for a daily indulgence. Highly recommended for coffee lovers who want a reliable and stylish machine!

Very disappointed for a new model
I’m a coffee lover but couldn’t say I’m a coffee expert. When it comes to caffeine, I am picky with my intake. I like to drink what works, what would keep me awake. I am one of those who follows the rule “no coffee after 12p”. With that said, I’ve always stick with espresso. A good espresso, I would only need 2 shots, maybe 3. On a day that I’m running low on sleep and can’t afford to nap, I would need 3-4 shots, sometimes 5. I decided to purchase this machine because my previous espresso pod machine from Starbucks had discontinued their pods to Nespresso. Before purchasing, I had seen that my sister had owned an older Nespresso model that uses the newer pods. I tried a coffee made by her machine and finalized my purchase for the Nespresso line over other pod machines. I would have to admit during my purchase, I was hesitant about the two different pod types because of the sizes. The newer pods look like 1 1/2 size bigger than the older pods. I finalized my decision on this model because I thought “new and improved,” right? Wrong. To get my coffee to taste like my sister’s older model Nespresso machine (1 newer pod), I have to use at least 3 1/2 of the older model pods. Both packs of pods sells in 10’s. My sister’s pack of pods last her 10 days. My pack of pods last me 2 days, maybe 3?? This machine is a lot more expensive than the older models that uses the newer pods. The water tank is about the same size from Nespresso to Nespresso. Compared to my previous discontinued espresso pod machine, it is tedious to refill my Nespresso machine. I think it’s because I have to use more pods to get the taste of one newer model Nespresso pod. And lastly, the frother. By far the worst frother ever. You are better off buying one detached. My overall opinion on this machine is that you are better off buying an actual espresso machine where you have to compress the ground beans into a little sized cup before making your one espresso shot. The work to make your coffee is too much for a pod machine. And by far the most expensive coffee you’ll ever make at home. I wish I knew the outcome expense before my return date. I would have returned it immediately.

But descaling package if you have hard water. Use filtered water for best taste.
Solid build. Easy to use. Still compact enough to not take away lots of counter space. Coffee is good and predictable especially if you’re only one or two coffee drinkers in your household. The machine is affordable the coffee has its price. I have tried off brands, but Nespresso does it best.
