Lasting Coffee Leak Proof Dishwasher Safe Double Wall Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Travel Mug, 16 oz (Metallic Black)

I like this mug. It does not spill (as some claim, unless they have a defective unit). You just have to understand the physics behind it and then make sure you follow simple directions. If you understand the difference in pressure between hot/cold gases, then you will understand what this thing does and, eventually, how it could leak if you are not careful.Properly tightened and not fully filled, it keeps coffee warm for a few hours. Since it's all metal this obviously dissipates some of the initial temperature.Why 4 stars and not 5?Two reasons:#1 the Amazon Marketplace Emails are Annoying (you can't opt out and they send you a few)#2 The Lid is adequate for sealing, but the hole is (in my opinion) too small. I know that making it bigger may ruin the sealing mechanism / idea, but I'd love to have a bigger drinking hole; it's even tight to pass a straw if that's what you desire.Things that would make it 5 stars product-wise (for me) would be: (in no particular order)- Slightly bigger drinking hole- There's a rubber layer at the bottom (to prevent slipping I assume), this seems like it's obviously glued. It may not last too long, feels like that (and it gets wet). It would be better to have something like the "un-spillable" mug (which has like a suction cup or something)- The finish/paint is showing signs of wear/tear even tho it's relatively new. Not that I care, but worth mentioning.

This travel mug is a must have for anyone on the go all day. It arrived in one day and I decided to take it on a long hike to see if the hot coffee would survive the trek. Amazingly, this sturdy stainless steel mug not only kept my coffee super hot after 5 miles of hiking, but there were no spills nor mess. I have had my share of dripping slipping, messy mugs with broken lids and this one is a must have. They also make a great gift for your friends or coworkers

I bought this for my husband because he's always complaining about his travel coffee mug either dribbling on him because the seal isn't tight or one of the free ones I got from work actually burned his hand because the metal wasn't insulated. He loves this one because there's absolutely no dribbling and when it's closed, it keeps the coffee hot for hours, which he's never had before. Plus the outside of the mug stays cool even though the coffee inside is piping hot.

I have been buying travel cups of all shapes/sizes/configurations for a few months now. A friend called me the goldilocks of travel mugs.This cup is not for the car. It's for commuting via public transportation.Commuting in NYC is no joke. I typically carry 2 bags and have to have free hands for a metro card and the like so if I can't hold it, it has to be easily put away withou spilling. E.g. compartmentalized.When the cups were too bulky to carry, I tried getting a mesh holder and clipping it to the outside of a bag. You have to have a very tight lid for it to withstand the jostling. I tried a military type holder and most cups did not fit. This one is too big. This cup is too small. That one is flimsy.When I say that I bought no less than 10 cups from 30 oz to 8 oz, that is a lowball figure - I will review others with public transportation in mind.Then I found Lasting Coffee and it's just right. It's the right size, the right "feel" and the lid screws on TIGHT and stays shut. I even use it when wearing white pants which I usually will not do.I think the coffee could stay hotter but overall I'm very happy with this cup and the company which detects and solves problems before you even know about it.

I purchased this mug for my dad as a birthday gift - he is very happy with it in terms of keeping his coffee piping hot...even hours after pouring it into the container. However, apparently my dad's was part of the defective batch that the seller emailed me about right after making the purchase - the outer coating, after one wash in the dishwasher, started coming off in chunks. While the product is wonderful at keeping fluids hot, I was surely hoping that it would stay looking decent a LOT longer...my dad doesn't want to drag a beat up cup around with him. With that being said, I am going to reach out to the seller and see if they make things right and I will thereafter post an updated review.(excuse the sloppy writing on the photo - did the best I could on my phone :P )

UPDATED 9/23/16: This mug has been run through the dishwasher twice and tested the last two mornings filled to the brim with hot black coffee. It does a fabulous job. Yesterday morning it was filled at 5 AM and at 9 AM when I took my last sip...still hot. That's what I was looking for. I am also happy to say this mug fits under the new Keurig 2.0 (slightly lower models) opening for brewing. Yep Keurig introduces travel mug to its coffeemakers and lowers the clearance...who knew?)My first review of this product was a one-star review because a I received a faulty mug the first time around. The mug did not keep the coffee hot as promised....the mug was warm to the touch on the outside and coffee was tepid after an hour. But Charlie was quick to respond with a replacement.Normally I would have bumped this review to four stars because it took two shots to get it right. But I just can't because of the truly OUTSTANDING customer service...if only all sellers treated their customers this way.Thanks Charlie!
